It's a reasonable line of thinking, it'll just depend on how our kids develop and how our veterans hold up.

Agree Maloney is a gun, isn't he more inside that outside?
Both

Will we? I'm not convinced.
I'm optimistic about this year, as per my thread last week this weeks game will tell us if we can or not. Next year we will be pushing for a bottom eight spot, Maloney could help that push no doubt.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Tend to agree with him, looking at those stats.
Just gotta get that forward half right. Very similar list wise at the top end, to the Coasters.
Kerr and Cox are still big players there, they've got stockpiled kids like young Shepherd and Brennan.

If we look at the bigger picture. Could Cloke hinder the progress of our other forwards, I know he would be a quick fix to a problem but will we become Cloke conscious like we were with Hall.
Yes it will take the heat of Jones and is there room up forward for Cordy or Panos or Hill to have a chance. Will Cloke with a juicy contract still perform in his later years and all that money and the dogs luck could we have a very expensive long term rehab.
No I'm not a fan of Cloke and would like to give chances to our own or find some talent in the draft.
Food for thought.
We'd sacrifice getting an A grade forward because it might hinder the progress of two fringe kids who are yet to debut and are no certainties to make it? That doesn't make sense to me.
I'm worried that if we chase Cloke we'd skew our player payments and TBH I'd rather a skillful midfielder on ~half the money (Boak on $500-$600k anyone?).
Moloney sounds like a solid moneyball suggestion - he'd definately add something to our side.

I would go after Jamar before those others.
I wouldn't thought that we needed another mature age ruckman ....unless Will leaves us which I hope he doesn't. Waiting in the wings we also have Campbell as well as Roughy & Cords.

Melbourne is a rabble, and by all accounts, the senior playing squad are disenfranchised. However, this is not to say that they are necessarily crap players
Jolley was very unhappy with Melbourne before he went to Sydney, turned out to be a great pick up for the Swans. His article in The Age today speaks of his relationship with Daniher. I think Melbourne is one club we should pick over, espeically considering they just stumped up a wad of cash for Clark.
I'd be surprised if we didn't ask about Boak as well.

I a guy of his quality is available we would be crazy not to go after him. No offence to the guys you mentioned but Jamar is miles better than them.
