I am, and I agree with you.

Lets keep this discussion to the merits of the hybrid game, shall we?

I dunno, I think for a few years now the Aussies have tried to overdo it and it's worked in favour of the Irish. Body to body in a contest the Aussies are far superior but whenever it's boiled over the Irish don't take a backward step.

        Too physical or too dirty?

There was a while there where it seemed every series was just an excuse for guys in the Campbell Brown mould (you know, tough so called hardmen who like to hurt players when they aren't expecting it and are in no position to defend themselves, like Chris Johnson. I think arseholes is the word) just used the sries as an excuse to bash some irish blokes and get drunk with the stars of the comp. I wouldn't have been keen either. It's never really been the sport where our bigger bodies are that big an advantage, its always been countered by their pace and cleverness with the round ball.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Once again, I apologise if my comments were inflammatory in any way. I was indeed opening a can of worms that should have stayed shut in this forum.

It is a waste of money, though I did enjoy going to one of the games a few years back. Mostly because I got blind drunk and sang Fields of Athenry all night with all the other plastic Paddy's.

It feeds this urge for the powers that be to change the game to broaden its appeal, underpinned by this inferiority complex that nags away suggesting our game needs to be tinkered with to manufacture world wide appeal.
