Not sure if this has been mentioned, or this is the thread. But John Ralph does a podcast on footy icons who have been sacked.
There’s an episode with Akermanis and another one with Brendan Macartney who both talk about the dogs a fair bit.
I really enjoy it - all the episodes good particularly if you’re a tragic old footy fan like me.The dam wall has busted!Comment

There’s an episode with Akermanis and another one with Brendan Macartney who both talk about the dogs a fair bit.

Having said that - still found a few of them really interesting. Loved the Gary Ayres one and him talking about the antics of Ablett snr.
I still remember getting Ayres autograph as a 5-7 year old (got both teams in those days) and him smoking a ciggie outside the hawks change rooms at Waverley as he signed straight after the game.The dam wall has busted!Comment

I wonder if he'll do a handstand with the new owners when he sells a property?Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.Comment
