    Just a few numbers...

The Cats had 10 players with over 100 games experience, including NINE with 150+. We had 4 in total, with 3 players with 150+ games.

We had 12 players with under 50 games. Geelong had 7.

They averaged 116 games per player.

We averaged 75 games per player.

Those numbers should be describing a finals team vs a shot to pieces, rebuilding cellar dweller.

Yeah, we played like rubbish but let's be honest. The blokes looked knackered from the get go, which should be a shock after playing in Cairns.

Let's all take a deep breath and enjoy this year for what it is. 4 in a row has got a few dreaming about an unlikely run at the flag this year but it's just not our time.

Hate losing, but try and refrain from denigrating the team.
Great post mate. Bit too level headed for this thread though!!!!!

Reckon that Saturday was the last time in a while that the cats will beat us. Thought that their experience at that ground was enough to get them over the line. The likes of Taylor, Lonergan, Bartel and Kelly, in that third quarter when we were coming - did some important things - and got to the right spots.

Reading over this thread is always entertaining on a Monday! A staggering amount of posts from siren to siren.

      I noticed that too.

Bevo was very disappointed with this one:

Wasn't it refreshing to hear in his after match press conference, things like Geelong were just ok, but we were worse. Not the same old we were up against a good team, etc.

It looked bad but wasn't really Campbell's fault. The first time a player ran past from behind calling for the handball despite having an opponent right on his hammer, Campbell responded to the voice and couldn't see that he shouldn't having been calling for it. The second time he handballed to the player calling to receive and neither saw the Geelong player coming off the interchange bench.

On the seven coverage there was one handball that made Tim Watson yell NO so loud he had to apologise to everybody.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Worse handball ever. Should have been aware someone coming off the interchange bench.

The player who handballed it was laying on the ground at the time so he may have not saw the player coming off the bench but he should have guessed.
