Re: Trivia Time: Useless Dogs Stats Quiz

As per the OP this is a Google free zone

After playing more than 100 games I played a single game in my final season and earned a Bronlow vote for the effort, before being dropped to the Magoos the next week, where I remained for the rest of the season.

I did not play another senior game for the Bulldogs and was transferred to another club. I played one game at my second club before succumbing to injury and being replaced the following week by a player who would go on to be a legend at that club.

I'm open to further clues but then remembered TD is around.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

I think it might be too. Tony Mac also played 8 international rules games.

Sheesh, that's a beauty. This is definitely tailor made for TD. Way bast my history knowledge.

I'm out until further clues are forthcoming. Make sure TD gets a crack at it first.

This will be tough to get without using the internet for help.

The wording "transferred" suggests its pre 90's?

The 2 players I can think of who played 100 games approx for us and then a very small amount (1 or 2 games) elsewhere are Paul Hudson and Greg Eppelstun. Reckon it's one of those.

You only get to choose one.

Eppelstun went to North in the early 90s whilst Hudson went to Richmond around 2000, so the replaced by club great part probably makes me think it's more likely Eppelstun.

Bingo. He was replaced the following week at North by Glenn Archer. It's a very good get PP.

                      Guess I'm up.

There are 8 Bulldogs who have worn their number more often than any other VFL/AFL player. Who are they?

I'll go out on a limb and say that Brad Johnson is one.

                        Tony Libba?

Re: Trivia Time: Useless Dogs Stats Quiz

                          Confident in Liberatore (39).

I'm assuming given their numbers there isn't much competition so Magic Mclean (51), and whichever Cordy played in 49.

I'm assuming Grant (3) and Johnson (6) are hard to beat despite low numbers.

I can't imagine there have been many decent 46's so is Jong a chance?

I'm limited for depth of knowledge pre-2000's so that's it unless the rest of from recent seasons and I am overlooking them.

Dale Morris has played quite a few and it's a pretty random number. Maybe him as well?
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Picken would have to be one. Must have played close to 200 in No. 42.

Michael McLean in number 51 would have to be one
Dale Morris in 38 would have to be another and I'll go with Gary Dempsey in number 24. Dougie and Brad in 6 and 7 would be right and I think Gia might have 13.

Grant wore 29 early on so there's no way he would have played more games in #3 than Whitten.

I'll go Whitten, Smith, Hawkins, Darcy, Morris, Libba, Picken, Brian Cordy, McLean
