Now it seems both are still at least a few weeks away if you can piece together the slivers of info being provided by the Club.

    What is going on?
Agree it is quite frustrating at the lack of conviction in these timelines. It's already been mentioned on these forums (possibly by yourself comrade), but I'd start questioning the medical staff. A number of our players have had extended weeks on the sidelines beyond what was originally quoted.

Or are the medicos being conservative? Hrovat is back a fair bit under schedule and JJ seems to be ahead of the initial weeks. I heard Morris say last year he felt the inferred pressure of playing when not 100% cherry ripe because of a talent shortfall tall defenders (sometimes should've had a rest). He also said getting in Collins & Adams was good for taking that infected pressure off. If the coaches & MC feel we have the talent to win on the weekend ahead, and the medical advice is an extra week off would cut the likely recurrence or aggravation to the player in question, then I have no issue. If our boys are even 10% more likely to be fit for finals with a conservative approach, with our depth we should win enough game and then assault the finals in the healthiest position possible.

I feel your frustration and I think we will struggle this week but.. maybe we are playing the long game, being conservative lessens the chance of re injury and gives someone else an pportunity. probably the right choice but we would like to keep winning in such a tight top 4 race. expectations are getting high.

          I think they're just being a little conservative .
It is frustrating though when players are out longer than first advised

Not according to Bevo, heard him more than once say Tommy will come back through the VFL.

When will Tom play back in the VFL and how many games would he play there before returning to our senior side.

How many games would depend on his and the team's form.

Will just see how he goes. Hopefully he'll be back soon. Would add another dimension to our forward line once again.

Was this was prior to Big Red getting a week though ?
If Boyd is fit and available this week we need to play him to allow Stringer a hall pass.

Saw him in some vision at training last night on AFL360, and he looks pretty fit. Just need to be sure his shoulder is good to go. I agree I would play him.

It was yesterday. Regardless Boyd is still out for two more weeks at least.
