Club website is saying "approximately" 10 weeks for JJ, AFL website "at least" 10 weeks.

Also Gerard said minimum of 10 weeks on AFL360 tonight.

10-12 weeks is OK. 16 weeks is dicey whether he would return. I hope he's a good healer.

10 weeks will only be 9 rounds because of the mid-season bye, which gets him back in R13. That is an awfully long time to find form and fitness well before a potential finals campaign.

I'd imagine looking at the draw and fixturing the bye, he'll be back then
Disappointing, but it's a better case scenario than first reported .
I'd imagine 10 weeks is also factoring in extreme conservatism

I think it's more like an eight week injury, with a couple of weeks in the VFL and an AFL round return in ten weeks. I would expect him to be back in our lineup by round 15.

Regarding Clay, big footy poster noted Bubba or one of coaches said Clay and Roarke Smith are looking like being ready by round 15. Good news and Roarke could play a bit of a JJ or fast winger type role. Hope they hold back Clay as long as possible so he really is as right as he will ever be. What an amazing array of talent we have both in injury room and fit to play.

Better news regarding JJ as all of us initially thought it would be longer. Are Dickson and Wood available or are they another week or two away. They are missed and would be strong inclusions.

Agree with a post by ML yes while I was happy with our win last Saturday night by 6 goals the injuries certainly knocked the wind out of the sails quite a bit thus a somewhat flat feeling after the game. Will be right and have plenty of quality personnel still available.

Me too. As expected he looked quite underdone against the Tigers, although I only watched a half. Another week would do him good and prime him for the Kangaroos.
