Granty's against Essendon in super-flood wasn't too shabby either
Thanks for posting Sedat. Never tire of watching this clip. One of the greatest goals kicked at the G. I was building a deck and listening to the game on 3LO. There were snow flurries it was that cold late in the day; a treasured memory. Billy the Kid - remember the name all those who missed out on seeing him play because those of us who did see him play will never forget him.

What about Paul Hudson and Luke Darcy at Kardinia Park in the late 90s or early 2000s. Ball bouncing out of bounds. Huddo flings a foot at it and hooks the ball back over his shoulder into the waiting arms of Luke Darcy all by himself in the goalsquare. All of a sudden everything went right for us and we went from six goals down 20 minutes into the second quarter to level at halftime. It was beautiful , the crowd was stunned.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I might wear YT out watching that one.
Dickson did well to be involved twice in that scoring chain. Also did well not to be pinged for throwing! Good work!
Really liked getting all the commentary flavours on that clip. With Robert Walls as comedic value at the end adding mirth if you are mean like me and like to laugh at demented old footballers.

Have a listen to the fantastic commentary by Bruce - just the right level of excitement but always professional and on point. It is light years away from the excruciating caricature he has morphed into today.

Couldn't agree more Sedat. Loved Peter McKenna and Don Scott's contributions too.

I thought I knew the one you're referring to, but some of the details aren't the way I remember it, so maybe we are thinking of different moments. What I remember is a match against Geelong in round 17, 1999. We were 26 points down with seven minutes remaining and we won by seven points after we kicked the final five six goals of the match.

One of those five goals we scored was almost identical to how you explained it. The ball was going out of bounds in the forward pocket. Hudson met the ball on the volley with his right boot just as the ball was practically level with the boundary line, and utilised his soccer skills by crossing the ball with precision on top of Darcy's head who was about 35m from goal directly in front (not quite in the goal square as you mentioned).

The 2001 and 2002 games both produced comebacks like you mentioned, but Hudson wasn't on our list in 2002 so if you're talking about a different game it would have been 2001 (although I have this game on DVD and can't remember seeing something similar).

Besides, Darcy didn't kick a goal in that 2001 match
