Apart from Jong.....although he was poor tonight for second game in a row.

        Adams?
        Dale?
        Jong?

Those three surely have improved on last year. Some others have taken huge backwards steps though eg Hunter

Really massive period upcoming for Bont now. Feel as if for the first time in his short career he is carrying the pressure instead of feeding off it and owning it, as he has done until recently.

He is far off our worst, in terms of effort and commitment but his clearly weighted down by something.

I see that as a positive to be honest. We need a collective kick up the arse and tonight's effort to deliver that. May as well get a harsh reality check in R12 rather than coast along and get a rude shock later in the season.

The tactics on JJ were very effective - no issue at all with what the Swans did to him. Expect to see a lot more of this moving forward.

A few have commented on the lack of protection for JJ. Fair enough but I was really annoyed at JJ's feeble acceptance of his treatment. I know it's not in his character but FFS show some fight man. Thanks to your (lack of) response you can now expect every team to adopt the same approach. Hard to stomach that you were just owned my George Hewitt. George F**ken Hewitt.

I think Darcy said in the last 3 games he's kicked 1.8. Many very gettable too. I wonder if he's physically carrying something.

Is it possible that JJ has made a decision and just wants out now. He certainly didn't show much bulldog spirit tonight

Adams played great footy last year but Ill give you Jong. Dale hasn't played consistent enough yet to say he has improved significantly. Thats 1 out of how many on the list? get my drift?

I agree. But not sure how it will work. Ideally you'd make no changes and say 'go get your honour back'. But we can't accept even minimal changes, that was the worst loss in the Bevo Era.

You would hope not, he's a popular player within the group and it would be disappointing if his heart isn't in it.
I suspect he's just had a very bad night.

Are we similar to Hawthorn in '08 and '09?Snatching an unlikely flag then dropping off significantly the following year? Or can we find some form coming into the 2nd half of the year? I think we are gone and will struggle to make the eight. Can Bevo find a way to lead us out of this slump or is Bevo also struggling with tactics and selections?

It is a little concerning. As I said I think the bigger problem is the players who've gone backwards. And not just te older guys

Anyone know what's wrong with Adams? Channel 7 gave us nothing during the game as usual.
