You could paraphrase if you wanted too mate.

I think posts have a 4-character minimum and that will probs do it!!
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

In reading through the posts, I do feel Vred did an adequate job in sharing many on the issues that Sedat raises.

He is without a doubt the player that divides the fan base like no other! Given his role & wage we simply can't have another year where he finishes outside the top 10 in the B&F and expect to be a PF team.

He would find a home at most clubs but he would only be a clear upgrade in the ruck for about half of them.
All those mentioned have either beaten English or are younger, shown lot more aggression and been match winners already. Not sure how they can be on par.

Meek smashed English in his last match, no way Hawks would take Engllsh.
Sweet beat Meek a week later why would Port want English?

If finding another home for English not a problem then why wasn't snapped up last year going comparatively cheap?

It seems that they don't want to really swing the bat to attract FA's to their club.

If you want me to tell you that Geelong would've been smarter to OVERPAY Tim and keep whatever draft picks they had to give us for B. Smith vs trading for/paying for Smith then I can tell you that...would have saved a LOT of stress for their list management team and ultimately provided a bigger boost for them on-field where they are still leaving their nominal #1 ruckman out of the side in key games due to 'balance'...English is a clear upgrade on Stanley and would pair beautifully with someone like Neale if they had them both...

            Free agency is way under-utilised.
Stanley is no good but Geelong won a premiership with Stanley and we can't win elimination finals with English. Maybe Geelong would rather pay little for someone they know and his problems than pay more for someone with a higher profile but lets you down when needed.

If that statement was true then they wouldn't have paid for Bailey Smith.

Everyone knows Bailey Smith paid to join Geelong and is in fact salary cap positive for the Cats.

What part of the statement are you referring to? Surely the second part rules out the first part.

I’m hearing that he’s paying subs but gets free tickets to the club events.

This was the statement from JLM:

"Geelong would rather pay little for someone they know and his problems than pay more for someone with a higher profile but lets you down when needed.

I said if that was true - Geelong not wanting to pay 'more' for a player with a higher profile - then they wouldn't have recruited Bailey Smith.

What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Incredibly tough to rate. I wish he could do basic ruckwork a lot better and he 100% has meek games that cost us a win.

He could still be an A.A this year though

I really like Tim still but I think a bit overrated from the fantasy community and West Australians (where I am) are still very high on him from his AA year. Supremely skilled and a great runner, very very good around the ground and floats either end well, just the hit-outs and the contested stuff against the physical rucks isn't great...

I like to say hello to all new members when I can, so welcome of WOOF Garbs_7.
Hope to see some more contributions from you.
Tims ability to cover the ground and make a contribution when thrown forward is probably why Bevo has so much faith in him.

I agree he's a hard player for both our fans and those of the AFL to rate. He's different to the majority of ruck man and it's why he's a hard one to pin down.
