Yep and the longer the game goes the more valuable he becomes.

He's Smith like with his running ability.

A part of me worries the game is going to be dominated by his type, average skill elite athletic ability but hopefully that's not the case.

Quiet first half and dare I say it looked a touch over awed. Very good second half with his ability to cover the ground arc to arc a highlight, nice poise and balance on the far wing to sidestep a couple rather than panic and dump.

Yeah I thought he struggled in the first half, not through effort, but in picking up the pace of the game. To be fair, it was a hot contest and games like this will fast track him.

Thought he became important in the last quarter which was good to see. You could see he had adjusted to the pace, showed a nice side step, and seemed to understand moments within the game.

He's a good pick up and I think he'll gradually continue to improve, especially when we can support him with our best lineup (or at least, closer to it).

            Huge effort.

600+ metres gained is a big result. 7 score involvements too.

He and Williams torched Carlton on the wings.

I really believe this game was set up by his running in the first two games. I'd be surprised if his GPS numbers are substantially different from the first two rounds.

The effort has been there from day dot. With experience comes composure.

Rising star nomination this week. If his age doesn’t exclude him.

He definitely ran more last night (14.6km) but the makeup of his running was similar - high intensity, high speed, great workrate in defence.

He ran his 14.6km at an average speed of 9.3km/hr, which was the highest on the ground. He's just constantly moving up and down the wing, and when he's asked to contest he is happy to scrap his way to a neutral ball.

Acres (15 touches) and Hollands (13 touches) were totally outplayed by our guys last night. We won't be able to play through them like that every week, but it was a great performance.

He is going to be outstanding for us. Did we basically get Davo (pick 51) in exchange for Jack (pick 45 from Saints)? Bloody good trade for both teams. The Doc Mk ll should have a long career with us. Exactly the type of player we need - quick, elite endurance and pretty composed with ball in hand. Loving what we are seeing.

What makes it all slightly sweeter is that Richmond could have taken him in the MSD last year but chose to leave a lost spot free, then had 6-7 picks in the draft and didn't take him.

I've been discussing Davidson with Richmond supporters for a couple of months and the fair minded ones can't believe they didn't draft him last year at either the Mid season or National Drafts
Some of them say they should have traded back in and others say the investment in top end youth was the way to go given they're on a long journey.

Either way, I'm really please to see his impressive start with us.

He's Red, white and Blue and his place is at the kennel not at punt road they had their chance even if they are in a rebuild his ages profile would be a benefit, and I saw him play when against us and looked good so MSD should have been the go if you had a spot open. Their loss our gain.
