POLL : Who's the next captain?

Was looking at the announcement of the leadership group yesterday and it got me thinking. Have any of those other than Marcus got the ability to captain our side? Next thought was (and hopefully this is ten years away) who takes over from the greatest ever?

It's not an easy question to answer. So I'm opening it up to the wise folks here.

Who do you think will be the captain after Marcus Bontempelli? Add some reasoning too if you feel obliged

I've gone Darcy. I think he ooooozes leadership on field, and by the time Marcus gives it up in 2030 he will be primed and ready to take over. Also he will be the best player in the league too !

I think Darcy is a very likely option, assuming Bont goes the Pendles route of being captain until the end.

If Bont decides to give the role away in 2 or 3 years, then Naughton and Richards and Mcneill () are probably in the frame.

Ha. I didn't fact check myself but just couldn't think of anyone else who was pies captain. degoey? nope. daicos? nope. crisp? nope. Didn't even think of their premiership captain Darcy Moore haha.

So no, it's not factual. I'll leave it there for posterity.

mjp might come after me for unrealistic expectations but our current draft crop have all been leaders at under 18 or school level, I think. Plus Dr Davidson.
