Some are obvious and that is Ok, where it is clearly a shortened version of the surname.

While I do know that Bailey Williams is often referred to as Truck I cannot be certain that a poster means Bailey Williams

    I prefer not to assume.

There was one last week for Chugga. I have no idea who the poster was referring to.
Fortunately it did not impact the overall result.

I did actually assume it was Kennedy but based that on who the votes overall were being credited to.

Kennedy also has another widely used nickname of Bam Bam.

Despite a lack lustre performance 12 players featured in the votes, possibly reflecting that it was difficult to find enough worthy recipients.

Despite a strong team performance only 7 players featured in the votes but WOOFers were almost unanimous that they had witnessed a MarcusClass performance in awarding top votes to Bontempelli (199 of possible 200).

The unicorn Sam Darcy (115) was a strong second choice with much maligned Tim English (73) again showing his detractors that he is very capable. The sublime Ed Richards (59) took the minor vote from an impressive Sam Davidson (39).

A gritty performance under physical pressure with the team carried by the season’s lesser lights and occasional whipping boys.
This week we had 55 WOOFers cast votes which is a record.

While there were 9 players in the votes it was really concentrated on just 4. Heading the charge was perhaps the best teenager currently playing in Joel Freijah (208 of possible 220), from one of the season’s whipping boys in Lachie Bramble (146) and much maligned Aaron Naughton (118). The minor vote went to Ryley Sanders (58).

There was a big gap to the remainder lead by Matt Kennedy (8) the Baileys (Dale and Williams both with 5), Sam Darcy (2) and James Harmes (1).

There was no change in the top 7 on the leaderboard.

A disappointing effort despite strong contributions from most of the recognised better players. The scoreboard probably flattered the overall performance.

The disappointment among WOOFers highlighted with only 31 casting valid votes. The lowest in many weeks.

There were 7 players in the votes but a concentration in the top 3. Marcus Bontempelli (122 of possible 124) a clear standout from Ed Richards (77) and Aaron Naughton (75). Tom Liberatore (21) led the remainder, with Bramble (12), English (2) and Garcia (1) the only others with votes.
