Adams sidelined with ankle injury

Western Bulldogs defender Marcus Adams will be sidelined for the early part of the 2018 AFL season with an ankle injury.

Adams was forced from match simulation training on Friday after his ankle was caught in a tackle.

Scans yesterday confirmed a high grade syndesmosis injury.

He will undergo surgery in the coming days, and the Club estimates he will be unavailable for 10-12 weeks

That's terrible news for Adams - he's a serious talent but he just can't stay fit.

On the plus side, this probably means the end of Wood up forward.

It feels that way. He can’t get any continuity at all - 11 games in each season he’s with us.The backline has been hit hard.
