Darcy. we have found the next Superstar to take over from Bont.

Libba. I had a feeling before the season started he might be pushed out but I was completely wrong.

Sanders. Starting to string some good games together and is showing why we used pick 6 on him. After his start to the season I was starting to worry but he is a jet.

Dale. Just a standard Bailey Dale game absolute jet.

Baker I don't mind his dash but the skill level isn't up to it unfortunately so probably best to move on from this experiment.

Buku. Had a game to forget done some nice things but made to many mistakes and I think he will make way for either O'Donnell to go back or Buss to debut.
Agree with most of this except the Baker call.

He had some big moments where he stood up late and tried his arse off all game.

He did make a couple of skill errors by foot however I think he was cooked from the effort. It looked very heavy legged.

    I'm ok with him.

Agreed, we win more often with a decent spread of goalkickers. Time pressure and scoreboard pressure clicks in and we rush when we need to play smarter and more accurate shorter kicks with less risk.

Fair enough I'm happy to give him another chance because I did like his dash out of half back.

Any changes are deck chair shuffles.
Don’t think any changes are deck chair shuffles, I think tonight was really clear that there’s a few guys out there that just shouldn’t be playing AFL. Yeah we’ve got some injuries but at this stage there’s a number of kids who have a future at the level who can come in. They’re probably not ready but they really can’t do any worse anyway and have some upside and might transform the side a bit.

Ie Haynes could play fwd/mid and release Freijah back to the backline where we need him. Jacques coming back from injury probably needs a bit longer but he will play soon, very soon. Pushing Baker out.

Croft or Buss could come in for Buku (send JOD back etc), JJ should be back soon for Bramble. Then of course Bont. The forward line is a bit of an issue we just don’t have anyone coming back soon until Cody or Marra who aren’t close. Need to keep getting games into Dolan and maybe Croft & Hynes can add some spark.

The bottom of the 22 really shows through here, they try hard but there’s so many absolute battlers out there. Baker is terrible, Buku, Bramble, Dolan all offer nothing, Naughty is getting concerning, English is the worst ruck in the league.

Still some positives to take out of the game, we really did dominate but **** me we need to take advantage of forward half possession, it’s just killing us, but yeah there’s a lot of class out of that side. Hopefully JJ back, I’d play Jacques and Hynes too tbh, send Freijah back to the backline where we need him. Potentially even send JOD back and play Croft. Would be nice if Marra wasn’t an absolute waste of a talent…

Eh is what it is, we’re holding up pretty well and you’d take 2-2 but realistically should be 4-0. It’s just a hard loss to take when you dominate the game like that and still lose.

            ****ing shit sunday
You haven't obviously supported the Bulldogs long if that's the worst loss you can remember lol

I think Baker made two bad mistakes but it was one of his better games with 20 disposals

We have seen that loss before, we really struggled to manage the size of the ground, it felt like Pratt had quit the club and we were back to 22-23 structures.

Loved how we kept coming, we just lacked class when it mattered. I was waiting for Richards to burst away from a stoppage in the second half and Joel to side step a few but both look to be labouring the last 2 weeks.

Sanders finishing is becoming a real highlight, Darcy um what more more can you say? While Naughty has become the most disappointing player on the list, he just never seems to be fit and in reality hasn't improved much from his second year on the list.

The challenges don't stop in this competition and the calvary are along way off, somehow we all need to stay positive. I've got my fingers crossed.

Yeah I though Baker was pretty good.

Really interested in the Croft for Naughton calls. I get that Naughton is way out of touch but I couldn't replace him at the moment with a young but promising Croft who literally only touched it once against park footballers the day before. Justify please.

Disappointed with the loss last night. Overall it has been a great first month at 2-2. A lot of boom development and positional changes that I think can help us further down the line. Yesterday was just about efficiency. We reverted back to our dump kicking selves and just couldn't hit clean lead ups often enough, to be fair, Freo do get big numbers back and that last quarter showed that. We also turned it over going inside 50 and that caused their over the back goals which was all they really had. Positives is a 16 point loss away from home against a top 8ish team is not bad and our fitness is improved a lot, it was another strong last quarter for us and that is becoming a strength. Naughton is really out of touch and all we can do is hope he can get going because we really need him. Hasn't been this out of form for years and after round 1 it has been a surprise. Hoping we don't swing the axe too hard. I still think Buku should get a run of it for a while and Gallgher should come back in the starting 22. Baker might get suspended so that's annoying and hopefully Vandameer is ok. Overall I think most of us would take our first month performances but the development for me has been the most exciting part.

Wasn't a bad loss, 2nd quarter sucked but we didn't drop our bundle and kept cracking in until the end. Just need that consistency.

Hopefully we can finally give Buss his debut, surely can't do a worse job than Buku who is just too much of a liability.

He tried his arse off but his short kicking is terrible. Last year when he played i would joke that his kicks long down the line would go into row 7. I never thought he would be back in the team, and not for one second in the backline. Cannot have him and Bramble in the same team. Both have dash but poor users. Real issue as Duryea is done as well. Williams has been OK when down back.

I'm disappointed we couldn't win this game or the Collingwood one. I do take some solace from the fact that apparently our list is the 5th youngest in the league. There has been a big refresh and maybe we're building a team that can compete in finals (and not just lose week 1) for a sustained period.
