Providing critical feedback is not picking on an individual. It is identifying an area of improvement that requires addressing. I have expressed that I have been impressed with Tim’s progress overall however like everyone there are areas of improvement. Even someone like Bont can improve areas of their game (eg kicking for set shots) - if we as individuals can’t call this out how are people supposed to improve (similarly in providing critical feedback to employees- focus on the positive but look at areas of improvement).

none of us are immune to feedback that can improve performance

      1. Our midfield mix is really good right now. A bit of youth, experience, inside grit, outside run and touch of class Great balance
      2. Our defense is a unit of 18 blokes. We really do defend as a team which is great. However if the pressure up the ground drops and/or the midfield gets beat, I expect out back 6 will still look pretty ordinary at times
      3. I'm a big critic of Bevo, but that was one of the best in game coaching performances I've seen from him. Top notch. Good to see him make in game adjustments that completely change the game and the opposition couldn't deal with. I still wonder whether he has a plan B if our midfield is getting beaten though, time will tell.

Totally agree with you and the comment was a general one not specifically directed at you. Tim is singled out more than anyone else , even though he is having a pretty good season.

Just on dropping marks, or not taking them, we need more from Naughton and Lobb

          1. The ferocity of our attack on the ball and the ball carrier in the second and third quarters stood out on Saturday night. Particularly so to me from watching it at the ground. (Manuka is a great venue at which to watch an AFL game.)
The scoreboard reflected just how hard we went at it. Everyone was absolutely knackered in the last few minutes of the game.

          2. Great game from Tim English. Briggs tried to push him around at ball-ups and throw-ins but Tim soon worked out that it was best to attack fire with fire. At last!! The aggressive Tim was great. Fix up the marking yips and we’ll have a potential all-Australian ruck again.

          3. Baileywilliams is having some sort of season. With the likes of him, Harmes, Kennedy & Davidson we are developing a core of role players who we can plug in to our advantage in multiple positions whenever the need arises.

            1. Bevo - understands the group and what their strengths and weaknesses are.
            2. The Buss is going to be a very good player. A slow burner, but a good one
            3. The changing of the guard which started last year has continued in earnest this year.

Marking around the ground uncontested is very different to a pack mark or one where there is a contest. He needs to hold the ones that are needed to stop the opposition but he seems to drop the ones we need him to take
