1. I can't see what the club and the AFL get out of playing games in Ballarat while the capacity is so restricted. Very few locals can attend to grow the brand, and there is minimal opportunity for fans from Melbourne and Adelaide to attend and spend tourist dollars to pump up the local economy. It is a bad look for the game, and just gives numbskulls the opportunity to take potshots at the club.
2. Having said that the team are turning Mars Stadium into an impenetrable fortress. Shame we never get to play teams like Collingwood or Geelong there.
3. Tim English showed life against the Saints, doubled down on the Giants, and smashed Port yesterday. Great work.Footscray member since 1980.👍 2Comment

1. I think we have learnt from the Hunter, Dunkley, Smith sagas. The club has totally nailed the JUH issue. They all seem to be on the same page, happy, supportive and in love with each other.
2. Developing of players at Footscray is paying off in dividends
3. we have leadership in spades. Exec level, Coaching down to the playing group.BB.
Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.Comment

Something seems to have clicked with our small forwards defensively, they defended very well.
A smaller forward line can work quite well for us if the delivery is good.
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.Comment

One of the sweetest things about 2016 is it didn't feel possible until it was happening.👍 2Comment

I had a very similar feeling when Darcy went down- that we had just lost our most important player for the year (compounded by no JUH) and that put a line through us. This time around it has made me bullish and a mid-season Darcy super recruit (less likely but maybe also Weightman) has made it hard to keep the lid on.
Losses just can't be on the cards now. It has to be a flag, right?😀 2Comment
