Dogs are doing the right thing by committing to Ballarat even with the disadvantage temporarily, and we have a great record here now.
I think most are more than happy to play at Ballarat and understand the reasons.

It's whilst the stadium is being redeveloped it makes sense to move the games.

I'm a one game a year at Ballarat advocate but, I understand the reality that's probably not going to satisfy the deal.

The ground will be much better for the upgrades there's no doubt. Hopefully some of the wind is sheltered too.

There's no way the club didn't already ask the AFL for a 100th anniversary game at Whitten oval, surely?? And the AFL in all their wisdom said no?

It was a horrible look to play at Ballarat and while the financial/contractual (what's with us signing all these contracts which don't explicitly state what we need to receive in return??) considerations are all clear, I'm 100% on board with a game at Whitten Oval.

The benchmark of what we need to provide is 500 tickets to the crows and 4500 tickets to members - we get bigger crowds for aflw. There is a huge function space for coteries to use. It's absolutely AFL standard, just do it!

Get yourself some high vis and you could probably just walk right into the construction site. All you have to do is fetch any wayward footballs.

How do I escalate this. The only strategy I have at my disposal is immediately commenting on every instagram post the club makes.

When they start playing Western Bulldogs Taking Over before games then I will have faith in this strategy.

They actually played it before the last Giants game last year but I missed it trying to find a park.

I would’ve easily been on time if the game was at Whitten though.

Send it to Ameet, I'm confident you will get an excellent response.
I contacted someone else at the club recently with about 3 or 4 observations I wanted to share, with the impacts of Ballarat being the main one, and received a call the next day and then a face to face meeting when we played the Saints.
Honestly it was worth the effort and while the clubs hands are somewhat tied I do believe they accepted the observations I shared and they have lifted some of their efforts to better engage the members.

I seem to remember a game at WO where a goal was kicked and the ball went right to the back of the Geelong Rd end, and somehow that Sherrin had miraculously turned into a Match III by the time it made it's way back to the field.

You could get a copy of Dogs in Space and play that scene of Michael Hutchence and all of his housemates yelling Ballarat! and then driving up in their Vdubs over and over.

it probably won't help because they wont understand the reference but it's just a thought.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
