We have now lost three close games to top four teams where we had chances to win all of them.

Disappointing that we couldn't get the win in the end but proud of how we fought it out and kept on coming giving us a huge chance.

It is always tough to win up there and they are used to those conditions Gold Coast.

These are the ones you need to win to have any chance of finishing top 4 which has eluded Bevo so far.

Execution, skill level etc let us down in the key moments which was the difference in the game and Gold Coast were better in that regard.

I hope we pull up ok and have to focus now on getting the win next Saturday night at Marvel against Essendon.

Losing Close games too often. If it was 50/50 I’d understand.

Very frustrating in that regard. It certainly helps if you can win them. I believe prior to the close win we had against the Blues this year it was 8 times or so before that that we lost close.

The Pies in recent years have mastered this and been successful.

If you're tackled in play and you run towards the boundary line then I think that should be insufficient intent or deliberate more so than a kick to space that bounces randomly or a skill error that goes out of bounds.

The Suns benefitted from this a few times tonight.

Also, there was a massive front on contact to Lobb from Andrew that didn't get called. I feel that's a rule that's slipped a little.

Disappointing but at least our percentage wasn't shat on, when it could easily have gone towards that happening.
            TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I'm liking this side, but man we have to half these results to make top 4.

What's the Bevo v Hardwick h2h. I feel like he's got the wood over us lately.

Gotta win those otherwise it's another bottom 8 almost run season.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

We did beat the Blues by 8 points. Also only beat NMFC by 16 points in a see saw affair.

A lot of guys were far from their best but we still nearly won. Odd game.

Didn’t win any favours from umpires. Where was HTB after some of Libba’s immense tackles, or when English caught Witt in q3, or with Cleary’s tackle in dying moments.

I feel this isn’t one to get despondent about. One we can learn from. I just hate that conditions were so brutal and bodies will be so sore. We’ve had an atrocious fixture.

Gotta win games like that to make top 4, it always seems just out of reach for us.

Giving up over 100 points is the story, carless with ball in hand and particularly poor ahead of the ball. Did Naughty just play one of the worst AFL games of the season? It's hard to fathom the difference between his best/worst he is becoming one of the more frustrating bulldogs players I can remember. Last week he was excellent.

Love the endeavour late, any chance of deliberate/ holding the ball when walking it over the line?

JOD a little iffy with ball in hand on a few occasions but being played in the same position 3 weeks straight has really seen him take a big step forward.

Loved Libba and Ed again they are both having a cracking year.

This one really hurts. 10 minutes of poor footy in the 3rd cost us.

10 minutes of poor footy also cost us the Freo game and 10 minutes of poor footy put the game back on the Lions terms too.

                              We need to fix that.

Yep absolutely. It is these types of games that make all the difference in that.
