Though not the standout Dolan was, Hynes also trained well and continues to surprise me. Early days, I thought he would be a bit of a bull for us but he is actually quite silky. Pendlebury would have been proud of some of his gives.

I can’t see Hynes being sub for the second week in a row. Think it might McNeil’s turn.
Yeah I said it in the VFL thread 2 weeks ago, Hynes is the absolute opposite player to what I expected when we drafted him. I was expecting a big bodied bull but a scrapper, but he’s actually a really classy and composed glider type - really nice touch & skill inside the contest rather than using any brute force, finds time effortlessly. Really impressed but just not what I thought we were getting at all, pleasantly surprised!

On the bramble/cleary chat I probably want both out but I don’t think they’re competing for the same role. Clearys competition is Coffield, Selwood, probably Buss/Jones etc. Brambles only real competition at the moment is JJ and maybe Jacques soon.

as soon as Jj is good to go Bramble makes way, pretty simple for mine

I personally think Harmes will be a late in for Dale. Can’t see him not being named if available.

don’t understand Harmes not playing. Surely he brings more to the team than McNeil. They don’t necessarily play the same role but Harmes is more damaging in terms of scoreboard pressure

Harmes and Jones were late outs for Footscray- so you may be right there.
