I suppose it depends because if the intention is to play finals then that would mean 1 game for Libba in a 3 week period. Not ideal in the lead up to a final.

I think Mantis' comment above is spot on, it is exactly that group that is our problem.

You'd imagine Sellwood is in the mix to debut this week. We need another option down back to assist with D50 ground balls and also rebound cover, and he would have some good intel on the younger WC forwards, likely having played against them in the WAFL this season.

Several people are calling for Sellwood to come in for his first AFL game. I just can't see it - would we take a risk in the backline at this stage of the season.

He's a seasoned and mature 22yo - if he can positively impact in an area of obvious weakness (tick), and is in good form at VFL level (tick), I hope he is in the mix for selection this week.

With both WA clubs as opponents in the next fortnight, his knowledge of opposition forwards (especially the young West Coast forwards) can't hurt his chances.

Early season's Davidson run would be bloody handy at the G if we make finals, we have given him a week off I'd bring him in for one last look at it.

Do woofers think the match committee will back Buss in if we make finals? Was yesterday just tactical I'm guessing? I saw Bevo having a stern chat to VDM in the third after he slipped over for the 20th time which led to another Melbourne goal, thought he would be off for sure( I should have known better) but was surprised with Buss.

I have a feeling Harmes might be out for the year now, I reckon they will be reluctant to play him after a long time out after lessons learnt from the finals last year. It's disappointing really rated his first half of the year I reckon we have ben missing he and Davidson's early year form.

He would have been training with the Freo forwards...pretty sure he would know them even better!
