Margin: Dogs by a kick or so
    First goal: Hynes or Kennedy
Top goal scorer: 3 each for Darcy, Naughton, West
    Best on ground: Dale

    2025 Dogs Points For: 1716-
    ........Crows Points For: 1569 =147

    ..Dogs Points Against: 1288-
    Crows Points Against: 1135 =153

The difference is only 6points... If you consider Adelaide is 2nd only behind Collingwood for points conceded and we're 1st for Points scored for ourselves, it is a very even match up after 16 games each assuming both these trends persist for each team this game.

Brisbane is their only top 4 win and GWS top 8.
They beat GWS in an awful rainy and windy game at home by 18, their defence won it for them in an ugly low scoring slog.
1 point loss to Gold Coast at GC
3 point loss to the Hawks in Tazzie
19 point loss to the Cats in Adelaide
18 point loss to Freo in Perth
10 point loss to the Pies at the G

Perhaps I'm being too basic here but can we score more than enough IF our defence doesn't hold up? I'd say yes, with sound plans and a spread of goalkickers, especially from behind the ball.
We have home ground advantage and Rachele is a big out for them.
I'm hoping Poulter is sub and Dolan has an impact with his clean skills and takes his chances in front of the sticks.
Their backlines are clinical and our opportunists might win us the game.

Huge test today… I’m not confident. I’d like to be, but it’s been almost 12 months since we’ve stood up to a contender and got the job done and those experiences are still raw.

We need our best 6 to lead the way and the rest to contribute… Huge challenge, keen to see how the selected team go, we’ll learn a lot.

      LFG!

We have to keep the turnovers to a minimum, i think between the arcs will be super important. We can't gift them any ball there, I don't want to see any 45's inside if we have a lead, play smart, know the game situation. Get it in, lock it in, score from the stoppage. Our small forwards are going to have to be on their game locking it in and not letting the likes of Laird rebound without pressure. Not sure on the Dolan call over McNeil but lets see how it goes. I like Hynes' pressure so that's probably the McNeil counter.

Our KPD's just have to try and halve things. If it's easy ball in though, they won't have any chance. As a famous poster on here says - TAKE OUR CHANCES.

        I'm excited for this one.

Will be interesting to see if Darcy gets some free kicks today after the publicity during the week.

I'm sensing a bit of niggle early on in this one.

Really hope our supporters get to the game and would be rapt with 35000. The boys need our voice even if things go pear shaped early.
Yep our small forwards and midfield are going to be crucial in limiting the supply to their gun forwards.
12 point win is a bit much though.

Too right. I liked the way Bevo played. Not over the top.

Sadly, I fear for today's game. Last time I watched Adelaide the pressure they exerted on the opposition was through the roof. Dealing with sustained pressure seems to be our achilleas heel. We are a high procession team, but pressure disrupts the quick ball movement and precise delivery that this requires. Hopefully the coaching staff have developed some strategy and addressed our shortcomings in this area.

If not, we could be in for a long afternoon.

Time for our leaders to stand up against quality opposition today. Looking to see Bont and Libba get hold of them at the source.
