4-5 goals off the best. I guess we are who we are. Just don't have the backline cattle at all, so many 2v1s lost and Lobb must have got 6 or 7 kicked on him, shouldn't be his role as he is an interceptor but it's all we have got.

100% agree and keep playing Dolan, Hynes etc. At least it's clear where we need to improve, doing it is the hard part.

It is but it is more than that. We were outplayed throughout let them control the game. Whilst we only lost by 11 the score flatters us. Thinking it is only junk time goals being the difference, with respect, is way off the mark

On the scoreboard that is correct however there wasn't many stages of this game I thought we were in it. I thought they handled us comfortably which was very disappointing.

I’m not a Buss believer but he needs to replace Coff immediately and see what happens. Coffield wouldn’t get a game for 15 other sides.

Fact is we played very poorly and lost by 11 points. We had so many passengers and got absolutely nothing from the umpires. On the other hand Adelaide got a pretty good run.

So how did we get so close? In a word - Bontempelli. He was everywhere and did everything.

Get selection right next week and all playing their part and we are in with a chance. Lose and we can kiss top 4 goodbye unless lots of results fall our way.

Defensive transition was terrible from minute one. This is our biggest problem and has been all year. We couldn’t stop or interrupt their ball movement from our forward line and they seriously got it on a silver platter all afternoon. Liam Jones would not have made an ounce of difference. None of our defenders have any mongrel in them we are too nice. We don’t hit the body in the marketing contest.

Bailey Dale hasn’t had a kick for three weeks, we need to change his role up and quickly. Bailey Williams looked lost out there today, in no mans land a lot. Freijah is in the same boat as Dale.

In the first half both our wings were out classed and out sized. Davidson was moved forward in the second half and I think we should stick with that.

West was super disappointing, Matt Kennedy looked injured or sick, he didn’t really move outside the forward half of the ground.

Darcy really needs to stop worrying about not getting free kicks and stay in the game. He has developed a terrible habit of complaining about a free kick not being paid whilst the play is still in motion.

All in all we plugged away, we just didn’t have the same skill set or ability to transition like the crows did.

We are what we are and outside of prominent media voices trying to gaslight and call us flat track bullies because we "want for nothing" I think supporters are starting to realise that.

Cody Weightman is sorely missed, and while I see a future in both of them playing both Dolan and Hynes puts us at a massive disadvantage against stronger bodied teams (which all of the good sides happen to be). The team defence is a worry, if Lobb has a patchy game without miracle intercepts we're terribly exposed. Aza is right, we don't make them earn it as a defensive unit and need to be harder and more desperate. If we're going to trade big, that's the area I'm looking at.

We won’t be a serious contender until we can defender transition better. Good teams move the ball to quickly for the high line we play and our defenders have no chance if the balls gets out the back.

Kennedy had 6 touches - and went down into the rooms before the bounce in the second half. I think he may have been ill.

Naughton played well but he cost us. Missed a sitter running into the goals and also dragged a guy down when he didn't have the ball and they went on and kicked a goal.

Walker and Thilthorpe had 9 marks each and I think Jones may have stopped Thilthorpe leaving Walker to Lobb. Lobb was well and truly beaten today.

All the little things add up.

I also think we’re missing the leadership of Jones and Duryea in the back line. They were awesome last year at setting us up behind the ball. Unfortunately I think the game has gone past both of them, as neither can keep their feet anymore.
