Is it though? JJ cops a lot of heat but I’m struggling to think of one thing that Scott can do even half as good.

Kick straight at goal?

From the Melbourne game it seemed like Dale was playing JJs role more so than Scott anyway.

It certainly is surprising but I can only assume JJ is falling short of expectations in some areas and is being challenged to improve. He will be back.

I was very impressed with Scott from ground level at the AAMI game.

I've been dead against his recruitment (and still am from a list management perspective) but was pretty pleased with what we saw in the praccy game of him as a player. Not sure about him as an accountable defender though.

At least we know Martin is a certainty and Grundy is unlikely to completely destroy us from the first minute of the game. Will be a nice change from the previous 4 outings.

Have to say those four debutantes give us a nice freshen up going into rd 1. I was very impressed with Scott from ground level at the AAMI game.
Excited to see them all play Friday night on the big stage.

Thought Scott was very good vs Melbourne, clean and a great kick.

Though McNeil didn’t have it a lot, what he did was exciting...thought he’d miss though, I’m wondering if Vandemeer is right to go?

If Vandermeer isn't fit that means someone else needs to come into the nominal 22 from the Melbourne game. Scott & McNeil were already in there. Bedendo and Khamis I am counting as outside the 22. Treloar in and Crozier out is the only certainty. At the moment West is in as well.

McNeil surprises me. A lot.

I like what I see, but I'm not sure he's best 22 with virtually a full squad to pick from.

Not bad is it from driving forklifts in December to playing on the biggest stage in March.
He's a nice player got a bit of Shane Edwards about him.

Haven't been to a game since Sept 7th elimination final against Plastics, so that is 18 months. I don't normally go to practise matches.

Yes that was the last proper match I went to as well. Went to the practice game at Marvel last week.

JJ can't hit the side of a barn let's be honest. He has next to zero defensive ability and is subject to panicking, but he runs fast.

At least it was more enjoyable than the above mentioned final.

We didn't play many games in Melbourne in the back end of 2019 so I think my last proper game was round 19 v Freo in late July.
