You could argue he's the best two-way mid in the game. High tackle numbers, adds a lot to their defensive midfield structures, good 1v1. Wines, Oliver and even Bont are far more offensively minded - they will tackle if they have a chance to get the ball, but really want to get it and either feed it out or run it forward.

Having said that, my eyes gloss over when the Saints play so might not be completely accurate.

I reckon that's pretty right.

He's a damn good player Steele, but that's it.

Oliver v Bont is at least a conversation, the others are nowhere. Neale, Petracca, Martin & Fyfe are closer

Bont's versatility puts him ahead for mine

I think Bont had higher highs than Oliver but Oliver had the more consistent season overall.
