    A few poorer performances tonight.

Garcia tries hard. Credit to him. Gives everything. He just doesn't have enough class. Not up to it from what I have seen.

McNeil Fumbles constantly. You can't teach someone to be clean. He just ain't up to it either.

Scott Eight touches tonight. What was his role? Didn't appear to have any influence.

Vanda Did a few nice things. But 13 touches for a running defender is just not good enough. Also had a few bad moments.

Duryea He is cooked. Don't know why we are preserving with him. Just play Cleary or anyone else. Move on.

Gardner We are missing Jones so bad. If Jones plays we win. Gardner only can play his man. He doesn't back himself. He doesn't hunt the football. He only wants to stop. That is not a modern defender. He will never be a modern defender.

Struggle to think of a 33 disposal game with less impact. Treloar looked slow and unsure by foot.

We let Buddy take three contested marks tonight. Three. When was the last time he did that. Gee whiz. We can play any forward into form.

We need Bontempelli Liberatore English and Treloar playing well each week to show up against our lack of depth which was very evident tonight against a more hardened and experienced Swans line up. Ugle Hagen and Weightman were poor tonight leaving Naughton one out. The defence apart from Richards and Dale is clearly not good enough and without Liam Jones we struggle with quality key defenders. This was a bad loss with an urgent need to bounce back against Essendon and GWS coming up in the next two weeks.

It looks like the opposition are borderline allowing our midfield to dominate so they can set up the intercept and rebound off D50, knowing that our one-on-one defending is poor and we also lack leg speed to prevent the D50 to F50 fast ball movement.

I asked this last week, but is our game plan of territory and clearance dominance becoming obsolete? We are getting picked off on the counter so easily.

He has 7 score involvements. Which was equal fifth on the ground. He had 13 contested possessions which was only behind Libba. He had 7 inside 50m which was third on the ground only behind Gulden and Bont. He had 458m gained which was 4th best on the ground.

It wasn't his best game. But he had a decent crack and created plenty of drive. A few costly and poor kicks at the wrong time didn't help the perception of his game.

Way too easy. We looked so much better with Liam Jones in the team who actually hunts the ball coming in rather than just playing on his man like Gards. That one player has such a profound impact on the balance of the team.

If a fit and firing Liam Jones plays in the last two weeks. We win both games. He is that important.

We have now lost five of our last seven. That's a poor form line when the whips are cracking. Need something spectacular to turn it around from here.

57% DE - he has to stop slamming the ball on his foot and kicking it to no one.

Everyone was praising Gardner last week. Try hards but that should be a given. Still the same player. Fringe.

Please explain. When you are a goal up in an arm wrestle of a game. How do they get this much space and time?

Bit harsh. He picked out a lone Sydney defender on the chest with 90 seconds to go. That’s hardly no one.

To be fair. He had a great first quarter last week until he was injured. But did the Pies have a legitimate tall forward? No. He played with more confidence last week. Whenever he plays on any forward of note, he never ever backs himself. He always follows them to the footy. Buddy is busted. Buddy outmarked him a few times tonight and Buddy isn't known for his contested marking.
