    Re: WB Game Day V Sydney Swans R18 2023 Thu 13/7, 7:20PM - SCG

Huge loss. Will be hard to come back from this. I am devastated. Gutted. We had to work hard to find a way to lose, and with the help of the umps, we found a way.
West hits the post, Bont kicks OOB from 55m out, Ed and Bont turn it over in our forward half, Duryea drops a chest mark, English palms the ball into the path of a Swans forward for a goal, Weightman's miss da, da, da, da, da.

On the excuse side of the ledger we lost Darcy and O'Donnel which made things difficult.

But the reality is we just have failed to play consistent football this year.
    Very disappointing.

Yep. Last week we lost to the best team in the land by two goals. Tonight we lose to a busted bottom four team by two points.

We lost both games exactly the same way. Started on fire. Went to sleep in the middle of the game. Wake up. Make a run it. Lose.

Gardner hits a ground ball in that marking contest into the middle and they swarm on it for a goal. English kicks the ball in traffic to the centre of their F50m.

        So many dumb things.

He had 7 kicks and at least 3 were ineffective? I want him to prosper too as he has some good traits, but he needs to be super efficient given he only gets limited touches and he isn?t at present.

This is a HUGE problem. If we don?t make some tough calls we will lose a decade all up in no man?s land. We are handing back another juicy second rounder for a guy playing VFL this week on top. It?s a massive problem. Almost the biggest we have on a long term basis.

I don’t think they will. I don’t know how to address it other than a big clean out. Not sure that’s going to happen.

Yep been licking wounds in a dark corner for two seasons.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

In the last 3 years whilst being a finals team we’ve drafted both Jamarra (pick 1) and Darcy (pick 2)… both are going to be high quality players for the next 10-12 years… that’s a good starting point.

Top three possession winners on the ground.

                          Treloar 33.
                          Bont 31.
                          Libba 30.

Our mids got their hands on it enough. Macrae 24. English 22. Daniel 20. We just did not hurt them when we had the ascendancy.

We will get two 1st rounders so i am not sure about the draft comment, we also will get Croft, and the last few years Jamarra and Darcy. Considering we have been around the 8 the last few years we have been blessed with great draft picks. Give it time for Darcy and Croft . Jamarra is now showing his wares and will only get better .

Unless the plan is for this luck to continue, I think it’s a huge problem. They’ve also come at the cost of drafting other better kids too.
