    Comments

An extremely disappointing effort and the team has trashed a lot of generated through the pre-season and specifically from GvGjr and his cohorts from the pre-season tent.
Personally struggled and banned myself from all Social Media for several days.
Marcus Bontempelli (57 possible 80) tops the voting from Jason Johannisen (46) with Liam Jones (33) ahead of Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (21) rounding at the top 4. Other votes were awarded to Lachie Bramble (17), Tom Liberatore (16) and Rhylee West (10). A shallow pool of vote scorers and we need a big lift for round 2.

Here is the tally Board after our Round 2 game against Gold Coast

Tuesday evenings around 8.00pm will be the cut off time to cast your votes after a game....then soon after the results will be up on this thread.

Round 2 - Western Bulldogs soundly defeat Gold Coast

          Marmo

          4 – Marcus Bontempelli
          3 – Cody Weightman
          2 – Tom Liberatore
          1 – Adam Treloar

          Comments

A much improved effort with good contribution across the team.
Solid contribution also from WOOFers with 33 providing their votes including some very first time voters.

Despite one knowledgeable poster providing a strident view of BOG, WOOFers agreed with the Coaches award and gave top votes to THE BONT (108 possible 132) although only narrowly from 6 shooter Weightman (97). Next best was Libba (65) with a classic effort. There was a big gap to the minor vote awarded to Adam Treloar (15) ahead of Liam Jones (11) and Oscar Baker (10). Baker should qualify for a special award as the best performance from a starting sub.
Others to poll were Johannisen (8), English and Richards (7 each). The extremes of Daniel and Darcy each recorded a single vote. Overall 11 players were awarded votes indicating a good depth of contribution.

          Leaderboard

          8- Bontempelli
          3 – Johannisen, Weightman
          2 – L Jones, Liberatore
          1 – Ugle-Hagan, Treloar

Again Geelong had our measure but we battled it out in an encouraging performance and almost stole the win.
Solid contribution from WOOFers with 30 providing their votes and again including a very first time voter.

A disastrous result where the team as a whole just didn’t show any resilience
Also a more subdued contribution from WOOFers with 21 providing their votes.
While it was difficult to find worthy contributors, top votes went to Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (63 of possible 84) from the veteran Taylor Duryea (46) ahead of young gun Sam Darcy (33).
