He has been awesome in the past two weeks. Like you guys have said the only worry is when he has to play 1 on. If he can free wheel and intercept I'm all in, at 25 if he is going to be a regular best 22 player it will be now.

He has now played 29 games. As a cat B rookie, he is tracking nicely. I say keep him in the side, put 50 games into him. His trajectory is clearly up. I think his found playing to his strength this year. He looks like his got a bit ore power in his body. Had some really poor frees against on Friday night . The one against Kemp was a stinker, but he kept on trying.

No he has been great. He is still only young games. But shown he is more than a better capable depth player.

I honestly look forward to see get over the 100 game mark.

Based on the past few games, he’s piecing it together and probably offers the right point of balance in a system underpinned by Lobb and Jones.

I think we botched his development a bit by throwing him forward, ruck and key defence when it was clear to me at least we wanted more of an Easton Wood type of defender and he had the attributes for it. Just didn’t give him much opportunity to be crap ant the level and get beat a few times like many defenders go through before they really start to come on. We are seeing a decent player show some benefits of continuity now though.

His timing to come across for a spoil, and general ability to compete in the air is good. He attacks the ball well, a little uncertain at ground level but very competitive. Physically, when pushing back with the flight he can get lost and he gets lost in traffic when opposition forwards put blocks on. The next step in his staking a claim is damage by foot. If he can just get the outlet kick a bit more dangerous and mitigate the handball/kick that sells his team mate down the river, that’d be welcome.

I watched a lot of him when he played forward for Footscray. His set shot technique was second to none. I think he finished with 40 plus goals.

And he's very likeable.

What does Buku's development (and to a lesser extent JOD's) mean for BUsslinger?

As much as I would like to see Buss get a shot he would have to have an outstanding couple of games in the VFL to even knock on the door if both Buku and JOD stay fit.
To Buss looks capable at VFL level but doesn't scream I should be play AFL bear in mind my view is limited to the small screen so if he's not in the picture I don't see him.
I also think JOD has more strings to his bow than Busslinger so Buku would be the one he is after to take a spot.
I can see Buss looking to get back to WA if he doesn't get a few games this year or next when his contract is up.
