Means everything to Sponsors looking in.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

For the sponsors inaccurate or inflated numbers don't mean much for them. I doubt they concern themselves much with either 50 or 55k members
For the club growing growing the income and the number of members attending games is far more important.

I'm no marketing expert but I reckon they are looking at far more detailed metrics than rubbery membership numbers. Things like social media followers and interactions, viewership numbers, etc.

Pathetic to say the least. We should be well over 60k by now

The membership numbers are a nice bit of propaganda but ultimately the club should be focused on the income generated because it's key to our continued survival and success. The numbers are just a byproduct that need to be taken with a grain of salt in my view.
Also some people who are paid in full members will not buy their memberships early next year at full rate, they will hold off and wait until the deals like 6 for $66 come out. There needs to be incentive for the ones who do the right things and pay the full rate to watch the same games.

I looked through the fine print at one of those deals once, I'm sure there's something in there about the deals only being open to first-time members. Shame there's always some clowns who find workarounds - my preference would be that these sorts of deals just didn't exist... if you care enough about the club to become a member, surely the financial viability of the club is worthwhile to you also? Even the full price memberships are a decent saving on just buying tickets to the game each week (and that's before factoring the free merch and stuff you get).

We made over 62.000 last year but we look on track to be equal or worse than 2023's number of ~56,000.

Crazy deal below. I'm heading to the game tomorrow night with friends who aren't bulldogs members - just bought 4 silver memberships for $20 each + $10 each for a level 1 ticket for the same price as a GA ticket and can still use them at 5 more home games.

This is why membership numbers mean so little.

A big jump with these ultra cheap memberships.

A couple hundred ahead of where we were at the same date last year.

Imagine the jump when Bont re-signs, which might be announced the day of his 250th game? I have no intel on that but if I was in marketing I'd be pushing for it.
