He presents well, no doubt there
It's not that he has no chance just that this is not an audition as such. They said they will do a full review and new selection process once the season ends, which for Richmond is always after round 22.

At this point being 2-9 surely Richmond have to tank for the rest of the year.

At least Jade is not their kicking coach, that would just not work.

Thanks RS : Is it his schnoz or is there something in my grammar I'm missing?

Just to clarify, I believe he speaks well to the media and appears to have a decent footy brain...whatever that term means.

I could hardly understand a word Wallace said by the end of his tenure his voice had become so gravelly

To clarify...if there was one aspect of Rawlings' game that would routinely shit me to tears it was his habitual disinclination to 'present' as you'd otherwise like a key forward to.

His efforts on the lead inside forward-50, on the rare occasions he'd bother, were abysmal, and he preferred to leave such initiatives to blokes of lesser stature who otherwise should have been crumbing off him. I know he wasn't the archetypal power forward, but as a key target he played distinctly like a man who didn't want the footy coming anywhere near him.

Apologies for being unnecessarily cryptic..and right you are, that generous beak of his would also fit the bill admirably!

I feel silly for not having seen that before - I even could have said 'unlike his playing career, he ....' but didn't see the opportunity

In regards to his coaching techniques,
apparently he's a bit of a loud ranter.
I have a source that informs me that he can let the "mother of all" sprays go from time to time.

Will be interesting to see how that goes down with the sensitive lads from tigerland.

I hope Jade goes well at the Tigers. He is a very good bloke and I think he will one day be a good coach.

This appointment may be a bit early for him, but I hope he makes a go of it.

As long as he doesn't start on anyone for potentially costing him his career, a spray or three should go down fine

Anyone think he's making a statement with his team selection this week?

Out: Joel Bowden, Troy Simmonds, Mark Coughlan, Jordan McMahon, Kayne Pettifer

                      Yes - Not surprising though

That statement should've been made 2 years ago at least!

A statement to rid of any deadwood!

Bowden, decent enough player, but wouldn't be part of their future.
Coghlan, bit of a shame, career cruelled by injury, he's pretty much lost it
Simmonds, how bloody frustrating would he be for a supporter, soft as butter.
McMahon, i still can't believe how they let us bend them over with thar trade, Callan Ward THANK YOU VERY MUCHLY!
Kayne Pettifer, should have been arrested for impersonating an AFL footballer.

I don't mind Bowden as a player and he has the potential to do other things with football but on top of that his form hasn't been too bad.
Simmonds has dropped off a lot this year and obviously won't be around next year.

We had this conversation Friday night, I honestly thought he had been delisted! I was totally shocked to find out he was still on their list.

Bowden is probably good enough to hold his position, but he isn't the future so it's time to look at other options.

Richmond have made the correct call here as they need to fast track their kids and rid the team of the senior players who aren't part of their long term plans.

                                So bye bye Richo?
Maybe we could take him for a year to show him what a final is like and see how many goals he can kick with a decent midfield delivering the ball
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.
