I can sort of see why though. We had 40% of all out tackles made by just 2 players and I thought that was worth a special mention. Perhaps I have over rated his effort today

Tagged Harvey who had enough of the ball and 3 goals. Break even for mine on the day

Harvey had two of his goals gifted to him through no fault of Picken's. Except for the brief period when he kicked his two goals on top of each other, he had little impact on the game. I rate Harvey, he's still very dangerous, and that's why I thought Picken did such a good job.

Gotta agree with an earlier poster, Boyd had so much of the ball, but some bad turnovers. It's not the hurried kick that bothers me, it's the duffed one to a leading Hall and the uncontested one straight onto a North players chest. Love Boyd, but would love to see that area improved.

I thought the general contributions across the best 5 or 6 were pretty even, so it wasn't that easy to give just 4 votes and to order them.

Like you say, Picken had a very good defensive game, and he was involved in winning a lot of contested ball and a number of clearances. His general ability to be involved and help create something offensively has improved a lot, and he's really combining the negating and attacking aspects just about to perfection at the moment.
