Perhaps this is the silver lining from having key players out:

Lake out, Williams given more responsibility

Hall out, Jones given more responsibility

Cooney out, Grif given more responsibility

There are some players who have had to do a lot of growing up this year, and it really is wonderful to see them step up to the challenge and really prove themselves as footballers.

Seems a shame we didn't play the kids more last year, doesn't it?

Ah well, that's in the past now, glad we're doing it now and getting some real depth into the squad.

I just watched last quarter again. Anyone that still has the game, have a look with 5.40 to play.
Dale Morris runs 25 metres with the flight of the ball in to a pack of about 6 players, with not a hint of hesitation. Got crouched big time. Stayed down for a while, brushed himself off and went again

The guy is a star.

That play was mentioned on I think ABC and how the coaching staff hearts would be in their mouths as he has no regard or fear for his personal safety even though the game was won.

Im glad over the last few weeks we as a forum are starting to recognise how well he has actually played this year.
I think we all know he has had a great year but we have not said it out loud mainly due to a lot of other things were going wrong.

Again another rookie success story.
