We got what it was, a contest between 2 of the bottom 5 teams in the league.

    Easton Wood's development is concerning.

Maybe continue with Grant back and give T Hill a go up forward.

I have to Agree with you 100% Andrew. That was VFL level at best. Can't believe how easily they got it end to end.

Can someone talk me through Lake today? Was listening to the radio and Drew Morphett (however it is spelt), said "two years ago Lake was all Australian, now he'll struggle to be all western suburbs". Has he been that bad lately?
Yep, could be our last one for a little while.

He was drafted as a very good athlete and a average footy player. Not much has changed and I would be surprised if he's still on our list in a couple of seasons..

Overselling us a bit there, 2 of the bottom 4.

The 3 umps. 5 goals should have maybe 1 or 2. Free for a push, pushes himself no problem, dropped mark, a handball to Libba is called a throw then a blatant one is ok.

Given we were terrible in the first quarter, I think we did alright afterward.
The margin was made smaller by some awful pro Giants umpiring.

Anyone see the game that can answer this?

Lake was just as ordinary as everyone else, he was no different.

Some of his passing was ok and could have set up a goal with some good movement only Picken played on when he should have settled for a shot. Because of the state of the game it's hard to tell on his form, we'll have to wait another week.

Geez, everyone sounds so positive. Should I even bother watching the replay?

You won't get anything exciting out of it. It was truly a scrappy game on both sides and the skills were very poor.

yep - fair call, I was trying to put a positive perspective to it. The margin doesn't look all that bad on paper but, especially given the opposition, we know our style of play & skills were way below what we were at 2 years ago.
