Please help

Hi all,
I'm calling out to the biggest of all Western Bulldogs geeks, Or should I say Footscray Bulldogs geeks.
My father recently moved and sent me some of my old stuff. One of the items it the pile was an old flag that I thought was lost years ago. It was a gift from my now late uncle and is signed by quite a few of the Footscray players of that year. I am thinking I'd like to get it framed which brings me to the dilemma of not knowing what year it is from.
My wife suggested I "ask the guys on that forum you visit" (her words) so here it goes...
I know is from around the 1985 - 1990 era I just would like to pin point which year, so I'm hoping one of you woofers are a signature expert and can cross reference it to a player list from the mid to late 80s?
Well it is worth a shot anyhow?

I can see a number of signatures like Beasley, Royal, Magic McLean, Shorty Daniels and MacPherson and I think I see Brian Cordy's. I think I also see Alistair Ford.

That might place it around 85

On the d2.jpg is 'Andrew Purser' if I'm not mistaken. So that would cut out the 89, 90 years wouldn't it?

Purser played between 83 and 87. I'm tending to think this is from 85 because if the Allen Daniels name is correct he only played in 85 and 86 and Alistair Ford's last season with us was in 85.

Purser left at the end of 87.
Reckon Alistair Ford was at Stkilda in 85.

I'd say 1985 as it was Alistair Ford's last season with us and Graeme Cordy's debut was in 1985 (finished with us end of '86). Both signatures are on the flag. Unless of course Graeme signed the flag prior to his debut.

That's why I threw it up here. I don't remember players like Allan Daniels, so it is going to take signatures like that for woofers to remember to get the exact year.
The ones I can make out, Hawkins, Foster, Choc Royal, MacPherson they played into the 90s. And i remember getting the flag so that would eliminate the pre '85 year (I was born in 1980 so doubt I'd remember before 5yo that well).
