With Burton out you would think Weitering would be the best one in it. I thought it would be either of these two at the top of the tree or Cal Ah Chee but Cal is not going great atm. Collins is another I hadn't really seen play for nearly 12-months and he was incredible last week.

Looking forward to seeing Metro. They were a 'skinny' group talent wise and whilst I like the young kid from the Cannons (O'Kearney) I didn't really think he would be an AFL player as a 16yo...but somehow they nearly beat Country and tape from SA game is OK (1st q aside).
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Had heard about Allen but he was not great in R1. Would have to recheck tape from last week...will prob watch it again over the weekend if I have time as it was only a 'background task' when I looked at it last week. Scharenberg just not putting in the work on field to be successful at this stage. Am sure he will figure it out. Is he a brother? Cousin? Unrelated?

        Cheers.

Younger brother, is still an underage. Has been playing League for Glenelg. (at age 16) and going ok.

What kind of player does Evans project as T&T? Seems like an OK size for a midfielder, can he run?
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Justin can run all day. Was quiet today, i've seen him play in every position in the last few years and i'm not sure where he should be. He's a close family friend, so i'm biased

            McDONALD'S SA U18 DEFEAT WA
By ZAC MILBANK | Twitter @zacmilbank

The McDonald's SA Under-18 team has thrashed WA by 73 points in the AFL National Championships at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.

Seeking to avenge their heart-breaking one-point loss to the Sandgropers in the opening game of the tournament, SA was ruthless from midway through the first term through to the third quarter as they kicked nine goals in succession to set up the impressive victory.

After responding to a bright start from the visitors in the opening ten minutes, the Croweaters worked their way back into the contest when vice-captain Luke Partington dodged around an opponent and kicked truly to give his side a two-goal lead at the first change.

From there, it was all one way traffic as Partington (26 disposals, seven inside 50s) and strong-bodied Jaydn Brind (27 disposals) helped the hosts gain control inside the centre square.

Playing his first game of the carnival, Brind - from Roxby Downs - also contributed on the scoreboard with three majors, including his team's first of the afternoon with a nice finish on the run from 35m out.

Partington's fellow vice-captain Aaron Francis again starred throughout the match, this time playing primarily inside the Croweaters' attacking 50m arc. Francis, who took 12 defensive marks against Victoria Metro in his last outing, finished with 22 disposals, eight marks, four goals and seven tackles to underline his unbridled talent.

The West Adelaide junior also took an eye-catching mark in the final term to capture the attention of the AFL scouts in attendance.

Glenelg's Matt Allen proved to be a more than handy foil for Francis, as he continually presented on the lead en route to kicking three goals.

Francis rocketing up the draft board?

Aaron Francis is presumably and reportedly the best big man in the draft. Cam easily play forward or back. Any chance he could slip to us?

                  I took these photos yesterday.

Aaron is a bit of a different kid - interviews will be interesting. Not sure he is better than Weitering with regards 'best big man' status either.

Don't get me wrong - he is a talented player (who looks exactly like England cricketer Andrew Stokes as an aside) but I just don't see him challenging for pick 1.
