It was one of those days the ball swirled around and dropped short. Hard to read and also bounced weird, so it was a good win.

I'm 100% with you. I hoped he'd have a year like he's had but expected worse and that would've been OK too

        How did Pearce go?
More of an In Bruges guy?

Okay, he didn't make the most of his chances though. Kicked a goal

Once his upper body strength improves I'm sure he'll clunk those ones, well at least I hope he does. The aggression side I don't know, would love a bit of Redpath mongrel in him as well. Some players just don't have it.

I was happy with him overall though. It was a blowy game so the ball came inside 50 in strange ways at times.

Did Kelly spend a bit of time around the ball today? I know I have brought his name up a couple of times recently, but I see something in his game that I think could translate to the next level.

Thanks for the reports all, sounds like there are a few players who are putting their hands up and hopefully we have a number of players demanding selection in our finals 22. Competition for spots is about to heat up again.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

He's spent a lot of time in the midfield of late. They initially thought he was a defender but he's now doing a bit of the grunt work in the middle. Injuries have held him back a bit but he is certainly making progress.

I really like the look of Kelly. Clean hands in clearances for a guy who is mean to be defender.

                    He's very assured.

Really liked Zee's game today, was my stand out. Webb was good, too. If Wood is injured, I'd give one of the two a crack at it.

Cheers. Watching the game I knew Honey faded but he really didn't do a lot after quarter time statisticaly. I think he had 11 possessions in the first, only finished with 15.

I don't take much notice of Campbell Brown. Enough said.

I headed over to the game yesterday. Stayed the first 3 quarters.
Even being AT the game, I didn't appreciate how windy it was out there until my son and I got onto the field for a kick of the footy. Extremely tricky conditions, and pretty unsuitable for forwards - so keep that in mind with judgement of Tom Boyd's game (and Ayce too for that matter).

Zaine Cordy is a seriously smart & composed player. He is an absolute twig at the moment, so will take some time - but there is a heap to like about him. Playing like Easton Wood does at AFL level.

Possibly more Essendon supporters than bulldogs there - and the 'We are Essen-don' chant that started at one stage was the most stomach turning thing I can recall hearing. Just gross.

Roarke Smith has some good attributes. Has some things to tidy up in his game with regard to some skill/decision making - but like what he brings as a rookie, and hope we retain him in some form or another next year.

Liked Webb, Honeychurch and Hrovat's games on what I could observe (always trickier to watch closely with the 4 year old in tow).

He's going to be a very good player, perhaps even more so than I thought when I first saw him and then I thought he'd be very good.
Roberts and Hamling holding down the fort out back, Cordy and Wood cutting off defensive 50 entries. Me likey.

Love the Whitten Oval but footy is almost unwatchable there when the wind is blowing....which appears to be most weeks. Knocking down the outer stand has resulted in windier conditions than we used to see in yesteryear. I will only go there again out of duty and nostalgia. Shame considering what the club has done out there.
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
