We are going to need a lightning pace/smart ball user just as much as a key defender to be a really complete team. So an Ah Chee or Rioli is picking to need. A bit earlier than we have to I suppose but we will need that type of player eventually. I'd love a Rioli in the team.

Probably not. We will need a bigger type but he will play a different role. Zaine will be competing with Roberts and Hamling for the third tall role and I reckon he's a better prospect than both of them.

Maybe. It's an interesting question. Maybe the recruiters didn't pay Zaine enough regard after seeing Ayce at senior level.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I have no doubt that a clever recruiter or two will pull a surprise with one of their selections that will send the internet draft junkies into a state of hysteria and outrage (one of my enjoyments on draft day!).
      Nothing more is guaranteed.

FWIW I think the star factor v needs has to be played on merits. If the quality KPD's we rated are simply not there come our first two picks, then I'd rather us draft the likes of Ah Chee/Rioli/Fiorini etc. and take Adams/Skinner with our third. It'd be unfortunate if it panned out that way (eg. McKay gone) but you make the most of the situation and add two (hopeful) stars.

It is hard to say. For our first two I would go best player available and from then on probably specific needs such as a key backman. It depends on what is available.

It certainly doesn't hurt to have a couple of star players who can make an impact in their first couple of seasons. Provides us with depth and cover.
No, it's specific to this year and probably Ah Chee and Rioli. Both players are potential sliders but I think we have more pressing needs, I'm asking if people think we should overlook them despite their potential star quality because we have other needs?
