Jong has had 12 touches to half time (second most on the ground behind Honeychurch) and Redpath has one goal on the board.

Footscray VFL Twitter is providing updates of the game here (and you don't have to be signed up to Twitter to view them):

Ps It sounds like it's turning into a bloodbath. Honeychurch and Red have just goalled to make it 89-22 early in the third.

Sounds like a good old fashion thrashing.

At the risk of taking too much out of a VFL practice match, if Adams is a better KPD than both Hamling and Collins, then he must be very good.

            And we win 108-55.

Poor last quarter from the sounds of it.

Redpath at times looked like a man who really wants to play in the seniors next week.

Yeah. They were good weren't they. Collins is as good a contested mark as I've seen in a teenager. And he won a couple of contests by staying on his feet.

I went home at three quarter time. The boys obviously missed my words of advice.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

We actually had to many defenders with no match ups .
Collins terrific one on one, and keeps his feet . Thought Hamling was good, and Redpath was terrific .
Jong was disappointing,he just has to improve his execution to become a regular .
Adcock ( I missed most of the first) I think he was off for a fair while, but he was okay in the third .
I didn't notice Roberts much, and Bailey Dale showed his usual polish .

Adcock got a bit of it today. I thought he was better than solid. Hamilton had a very good game and Cordy good as well
Redpath, Dale and Honeychurch stood out.

What role was Dale playing? More forward or midfield?

Apparently Redpath is on report for striking Long.

Dale is a shoe in and Hamling going by today, but it was only Essendon we played.
I still have big hopes on Goetz he is huge for 18 as well, late starter but he will be a great asset in the future.
At one stage Russell owned the the near wing.
Redpath got into a good barney at one stage, he presented well , marked well and kicked long a lot, sometimes I don't think we look for him enough.
Staley didn't play so Goetz and Guest did the ruck work.
Some players unavailable due to Easter and going back to family. I gather that's why Staley didn't play and I know that's why Wales didn't.
I also think we only played 6 on the interchange and they played 8

Hamling the dominant defender, with Collins and Cordy also impressing.

Jong was our best mid, and I liked Honeychurch's constant presence.

Pretty bullish about Goetz's long term future. Everything you want in a ruck man, big body, elite endurance, great hands in the marking contest (can already tell he's a much better grab than both Minson and TC). Just needs to work on his disposal and we have a really good prospect on our hands.
