I saw Tory at the dogs v blues game last night.

He said he got through the game ok and is ready to go, and expects to be ready for selection in 1-2 weeks. But he also modestly said if we keep winning he may have to wait longer.

I think the kicking for goal is partly due to the increased running these guys are doing.

Don't forget that all of the team are asked to run a lot more km's in a game than ever before and often they take a mark after running on a fast break, then pause and walk in to kick the goal. I know if I try and do something similar the lactic acid builds up in the quads and I can barely walk straight, I can imagine this would have a huge impact on your ability to kick the ball straight.

Did you watch Brown of North having a shot at goal yesterday. He watched the count down clock and when it got to around 1 or 2 seconds, he then had a shot. It wasn't just lining it up either, I thought he was giving everyone a short break from the running.

            How did Lynch play?

Given our speedy HBF issues, he could be a sneaky chance to debut at some point this year

I saw that. It was really smart footy. He knew he only need a second or two to step around and kick, so why not use your whole time seeing as the rules allow it.

Whether he was giving everyone else a breather, or just himself - I'm not sure. But Brown does work extremely hard during a game running back and forth and presenting. Pretty handy player. No superstar, but does some heavy lifting for them and gives them flexibility.

Brown is the embodiment of the sheer competency inherent across the board at North. They're good but they're SO BORING and uncool.

His contested marking around the ground is pretty handy. Would fit into our structure nicely.

Hunter did the same thing for us
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Watched the VFL game on Saturday and he has some time to go before getting a senior call up. Got caught a couple of times with the ball. Nice kick however and not afraid to take on the game which is what we want our H/Backs to do. Needs to put on a bit more weight, still very slight.

Lynch looked really classy in the preseason practice I saw. Natural footballer, hope he makes it which would give our recruiting over the last four years 100% result.
