      Siren! Footscray by ten points.

That makes up a little for last night.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Dogs win, Boyd shows plenty. Couldn't ask for a better result.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Hear hear !! Tough shots on goal in first two to three quarters. Also Dolphin's supporters rabid and loud including trumpets and music and horns over loudspeaker to put our goal kickers off, so good Boyd was able to kick clutch goals with all that noise. Up to part way through 3rd quarter Boyd had kicked our only 3 goals. Presented well and rucked ok too. Loved the bit of argy bargy with oppo backman in last quarter where he stuck up for himself. Hamling had an average day until he was swapped to forward goal square in last quarter. I truly think with what little I saw that Hamling may be a better forward than backman. Clay was consistent and tough as always. Would love club and Big Will to think about a 1 year extension as he was tireless and fearless today and great backup to Rough and Campbell.

Also love number 66 - a forward with Platten like hair. Love his marking and attack - think he has footy smarts. Hayes in forward line played a lot better than recent weeks, lovely goal kick in last quarter.

Zaine is a good player too. His ability to leap and spoil and disposal/judgement good.

And Webb was smooth as well as tough all arvo. His kicks are a lethal weapon. And Dale tried hard all day too, even took his angry pills today, although did not have the space to show off his elite traits much.

Dogs just hung in there and their superior fitness helped in last. Gotta say it was a nice way to finish weekend instead of stewing about last night's game. Still got some good players in VFL side so cupboard not bare yet. Go Dogs !!

Thanks TwoDogs. He was one of our few players that looked good and put in the whole day - difficult when ball not in forward line much. Good mark and great tenacity.

Webb was possibly the match winner in last quarter for us. He has to get a game in Seniors after bye asap.

Wow, what a great last quarter today. I felt big Wil got us over the line with his ruck work in the last (that's not to say he wasn't good in the first three quarters). He constantly knocked the ball forward and then followed up with his attack on the ball.

i thought today was the best game I have seen Webb play. I have been wanting to see him get more of his own ball and his attack on the ball today was ferocious at times. His goal to put us in front in the last quarter got all his team mates and the Footscray crowd up and roaring - it was a deserved moment.

Tom Boyd clearly had his best game in the VFL this year. His first two goals were from different forward pockets and his third the result of the best mark taken on the day. I hope he is in the frame for the Sydney game. (Bevo and a number of senior players were interested spectators).

Also best game from Zaine Cordy with serviceable games from Dad, Lynch, Dale and Hamilton.

Smith would have rounded out the top 3 Footscray players (along with Webb and Minno).

Adcock worked hard all day while Romero's son got a couple of touches.

Wasn't overly impressed with the umpires.....and neither was the President!

Hey Smads - was it Romero's son in forward line with the dark hair? I think his Dad was standing beside me on wing in last quarter and I heard him yell out "C'mon Michael". Would be great to see Libba and Romero junior tag teaming in the seniors.

No problem. I saw him take a huge mark earlier in the year at Whitten oval. Can't remember who it was against.
