Great leap and his tap work is amazing . He even leapt over Majak daw at one stage.
Reads the play , runs on .. Their is a few highlights missing that show him bouncing the ball and shaking a tackle.

Tim is a midfielder who can ruck. Bevo would be rapt to have him on the list, the double handed over the head tap out was something special.

The Fergus Greene video that auto loaded on my device was good too. His set shots looked a million bucks.

Despite Green being one of the skinny kids he has the pace and gets in good positions when he marks the ball. He's going to be a handful in a season or so.

Despite Green being one of the skinny kids he has the pace and gets in good positions when he marks the ball. He's going to be a handful in a season or so.

The only possible question on Dalrymple was drafting talls. He looks to have done well so far, at this early stage.

Might be skinny but uses his body well one on one.

Seeing him up close (couple of metres away) on the weekend - there's more meat on him than I expected.

I was told he's put on 4kg since arriving at the club. He's got a quick first step and a bit of jump but he also uses the ball pretty well.
He will probably need time but a very nice selection late in the draft.

Greene is a natural forward, the way he uses his hips to out position the defender. That nous combined with his overhead ability will translate well to AFL level.

Lipinski, English and Greene are looking like inspired picks. NMM and Young haven't disappointed either given their rawness.

Dalrymple is a star.

Greene is a natural forward, the way he uses his hips to out position the defender. That nous combined with his overhead ability will translate well to AFL level.

What I liked most about that marking contest it was Norths Sam Durdin that he out positioned and he's giving away 10cm and probably 15kg+ against. Durdin has been at North for a few seasons now. He has Durdin easily covered for pace but it impressive that he could also out position him.

Offer him a Buddy Franklin like rest of career type, huge cash offer. There's not too many off field folks I'd say we can't live (successfully) without, but he's one of them. And the club have huge wraps of Tweedie too.

I guess the flip side of Dal being fantastic, I think a genius, is it makes JMac's life harder. If there's no real standout failures in the draft recruiting process then there's hard calls to make and talented kids who need to leave for more opportunity. That said, it's a great problem to have.

I wonder if recruiting managers have a life span. They're only human so they have their own biases, and because the game moves so quickly, the types they're naturally drawn to may eventually not suit the most effective current style. This is amplified by the team having continued success, meaning less access to the top flight talent.

I think you can minimise it by having younger, more data driven analysts in the recruiting team that look for inefficiencies in the player market, and draw the recruiting managers attention to it.

But after Bevo, Dalrymple is easily our most important off field asset.
