Bad pass from Coff across the goal square and Casey get their 2nd - all square after 22 mins at 2.5 apiece
There is no sadder sight than a young pessimist.

Duyrea with 21 touches and Scott with 20 at half time. Luke Kennedy next with 16 (12 hand passes). Liking the game of Artie - lots of energy/spark (11 poss).
Quiet game so far from Hynes - needs to be given more midfield time.

Artie seems to be gathering form over the last couple of weeks, but he still either over does it or makes life hard for his target.

I missed the first half .
But our disposal has been horrendous for most of this qtr.

L Kennedy adds another - 14 pts the diff. Casey have dominated the qtr however.

Agreed I don’t really see the point of just sitting Hynes deep in a team like this at the moment with no real support down there. Would rather get him up around the ball or even off half back just to try and get him involved. Hes a bit wasted down there atm, his tank clearly needs a couple of preseasons though. I think he’ll be a slow burn but love what he projects as - just looks very hesitant right now, similar to Sanders last year. He’ll get there, bit of a stinker today though.

Really like what I’m seeing from Arty last few weeks. He can be a bit sloppy at times but same as everyone at this level, it’s pretty hard to be clean sometimes in these scraps but he’s finally starting to get involved more, and his good ‘moments’ are a class above this level, just his steps and speed and some of the really classy things he does, pretty high impact player.

hes always been like that even at AFL level, has found a way to show really classy moments & have high impact per possession, but no point if you only see them 2-3 times a game. I think he’s finally starting to pump those numbers up a bit.

Id like to see him knuckle down and do it for a consistent month or so before he gets another chance at AFL though. I know a lot have written him off but I think there’s still something there, he’s only 21 and started a very long way back with his body. As we’ve seen with guys like Cleary, West etc some of these players take time and I really think when he’s 23-25 we may have a decent role player high HF, someone with high impact per possession and some good defensive pressure now he’s realising he has to keep the intent up for 4 qtrs

Duyrea still leading the poss with 29 while Kennedy up to 25 with 2 good goals. Coffield
                            with 9 marks so far.
Arrie brought the energy needed in the last 5 mins of that qtr where we added 3 goals
after Casey had got the first 4.

First goal for the qtr to Billy Crofts - nice play started by Artie winning ball out of backline. Dogs down by just 1 pt
