Good take on the game Bigdog , agree Gardner was very good but didnt have much to beat .
Although Gardners disposal was very good , can't remember him letting himself down with an errant kick , so thumbs up .
L Jones was also great but alot of his 12 odd marks were taken on his own making postion for the outlet kick , but still will be pushing for senior selection .
The rest of your summary is spot on Bigdog , and thank you for your effort.

Coffield - too good for the level. Moving well. Should come in for Duryea.

      L.Jones - Didn’t put a foot wrong. Exceptional also.

Jaques - good first quarter but thought his footskills were unusually poor at times. Also thought there were a couple of contests he needed to be stronger in.

Buss - Had a very good night. Thought his ball use was a highlight. He was more damaging that usual.

L.Kennedy - Really like how the club is trying to improve his forward craft. The stat sheet doesnt look great, but thought he got in some good positions and wasn’t used. The VFL guys don’t really flick the handballs around. It’s more surge footy. Probably need to play with a bit more vigour as a forward though.

C.Hynes - Probably his most workman like game I’ve seen. Good performance, think he has another level to go by the end of the season.

Scott - Sounds like he got hurt. Found the footy but didn’t think he used it very well.

Dolan - probably had his best night at vfl level. The team has to work to get his hands on the footy more. His ball use is brilliant. The small forward role at vfl level is very hard.

Gallagher - Thought he was the best mid on the night when the game was up in the air. Took the game on and used the footy well.

L.Smith - Won the ruck without being dominant. Would like to have another Ruckman at vfl level so he can improve his forward craft. To get afl ready he needs to be able to contribute valuable minutes forward.

Poulter - Thought his ball use was poor. Could’ve had a big night if his footskills were on
      Great recap Bigdog

Agree, it was a really good performance for the Scray.

I'll add to the good recaps above, with an AFL performance view only.

Buss over Jones and Gardner and Coffield. More intercepts and better ball use.

Dolan, belongs in the AFL team, role and skillset well matched.

Hynes, geez he is improving, but AFL next year.

Jaques, improving, but not ready. Next year to.

Gallagher, play like that for 2 months, in the VFL.

        Kennedy, lets see next year.

I have Gardner in first. Has been brilliant for 3 weeks (was probably solid before that). Spent a bit of time on Krueger who will get picked up in the mid season - so wasn’t playing on an easy beat.

Couldn’t fault the afl guys. The vfl guys aren’t as good as what we’ve had in years gone passed (except CCP). We should be getting the best state league footballers in Victoria. If the club likes you, then you are a very good chance of getting on a list.

Thanks for the summary Bigdog and updates Smads57.

Good to have beaten the Cats at least in the VFL.
