People judge Buss so harshly, he’s clearly been one of our best. Half of his touches have been intercepts directly off the opposition, decent with the footy, hasn’t been beaten defensively really. I agree I’d like to see him take more contested marks it’s the main part of his game that needs to improve. Not sure what people expect from him really

Hes been one of our best players today, he’s a 21 year old skinny full back and to say he can’t do it is clearly not true. It’s something he needs to improve and do more consistently as he builds his strength

22 touches, 6 marks 2 contested, 10 intercepts and strong defensively - decent half of footy, he’s coming along nicely. Not saying he doesn’t have room to improve

To be fair they do look similar ha. That was a really nice mark from Selwood.

Sellwood has to play, his disposal will be a bit heart in mouth stuff but I honestly reckon he’ll be our best small defender defensively already. Plus speed and aerial game to support the talls which is crucial in a Bevo defence (see Easton wood)

The one thing I’ve noticed with Buku as well as he has played today is no second efforts. If he doesn’t mark it he checks out, doesn’t apply pressure or chase. Twice in the 3rd his man ran off him to get involved in transition. It’s probably wants keeping him out of the afl side.

Actually difficult on TV with no close up and the commentary simply having no idea.

They have even confused CCP with Cunningham multiple times because they have similar numbers

Its easy to see why the Western Bulldogs turn the ball over so often. Footscray regularly turn it over when attempting to move the ball on quickly with poor attempts at quick handball.

What do you think of Selwood Smads? He has something to work with.

I'm also wondering if CCP could play as a lock down defender at AFL level, I know its a little crazy but I'd love to give it a try at VFL.

Re Selwood - he is continuing on from his previous VFL game - always ensures the opposition know he is around. Would like to see him in one more game at this level before an AFL opportunity.
