If you go back to the play before that incident, you can see in the background, Lambert blocked and threw Doc to the ground. When Doc got up and started running Lambert ran with him to block again, and then the incident happens.

For what it's worth. The players still eligible for the VFL are training tomorrow and Saturday. The Saturday session will have the VFL listed players.
I don't think I mentioned it but Croft did a lot of running before the game against Frankston.

Croft trained by himself before the players came out and did a power of running
Cunningham, Dolan and Scott doing a lot of rehab running
Bevo on the track but not really engaging the players leaving that to Edge.
Weightman walked a lap or two bouncing the footy.
There has been a fair bit of match sim and match scenario drills.
Baker, Treloar, Poulter, Arty and Liam the more noticeable performers.. Crofts and CCP for the Footscray listed players.

Looked the best he had all year last week, was moving really well.

I wonder if the Gunston turn around can work in his favour and the fact the pies and cats senior citizens continue to get it done.

I’d rather have Liam on list than Coffield and Gardner. Unfortunately I think Liam will be delisted/tapped in shoulder for retirement.

With all their AFL listed guys eligible to play... There should be a rule that in this situation the restrictions on the opposition are also relaxed - obviously you don't want Sam Darcy eligible for a VFL prelim, but something like anyone who has played a VFL game through the season is eligible would make it fair.

We have Treloar playing. I'd suggest they're pretty relaxed. (Plus don't have Buss and Baker playing ones).

Last game Buku was ineligible to play. Not sure if the rules change when the opposition has an AFL team playing the same week.
