Watching from home today unfortunately and really struggling listening to Chris Johnson try and put a coherent sentence together. Rotten luck for Arty really looked to have great energy early. Jordan Croft going a long way to showing he is an AFL footballer and not a VFL footballer, been poor today. Anthony Scott been excellent but probably won't help his cause. Treloar showing great leadership, Jacques has something but not quite sure just what yet. For development would rather see Walker down back as I think we are well covered for tall forwards.

I love Adzy more than most and I want him on the list next year (maybe unless we were to pull off a Butters/Merrett type) but we can’t be expecting to rely on him at all in the midfield. He has zero of his speed in his game, like none of it. Hes still obviously a good, smart footballer but without his speed I’m not sure how much he offers at AFL level next year. Can he add a calm head behind the ball maybe?

How goods Lachie Smith? He’s going to be a serious ruckman. He’s only 19!

I hope he sticks around long enough to follow Timmy, and doesn’t have to leave for opportunity. I could honestly see a world in where he goes past Tim in the ruck and frees up Timmy to play a more free role around the ground which I’ve always thought he’d be suited for. Especially if we move to 5 on the bench.

Although we’re probably one side that would make that difficult with obviously Darcy forward. I dunno I think there’s something there with 5 on the bench, not sure how to set it up though. Maybe English can move into a tall utility role post Lobb, a little bit down back up forward in the ruck? With Smith doing the labouring, Xerri type ruck grind

He's been great today. Surprised he was 195cm, thought he played smaller. Good in air and on the ground, decent speed, kicking well (except for one snap on his right from in front of the Whitten stand).

I think it's Kellett, 57 who has been in the mids, has looked alright too.
