What about Higgins? He'd slot in beautifully.

Seriously though I don't want us chasing fringe players who can't regularly crack a game at their club. They are in the two's for a reason.

Ollie Wines would of been nice but he's re-signed. He is the type of player we need to target. Big bodied contested beast.

Does anyone know what Cunningtons contract status is at. I would love him in our colors. Strong, smart and clean ball user.

Chad Wingard is another I would be asking about. He isn't in great form and might be a bit stale at Port. Go to him with a big contract and a fresh new environment. It could be a Burgoyne type pick up. He has a familiar face in Trengove to help settle in too.
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!

Plus he tweeted to Trengove hope we play together again in the future.

I'd be looking at the suns guys pretty closely. They aren't playing well but there's some serious talent there. Ainsworth would be worth pursuing. Tough, combative and has nice skills. Don't mind Alex Sexton either but more of a flanker.

          I'd love Jack Martin also.

I think the club we may well target would be Richmond. They have a surplus of quick, skillfull forward/mids, some not getting much of a go. Our Recruiting Manager, Nick Austin, was part of the Richmond recruiting team 2011-2017 and knows those players inside out. I reckon someone like Shai Bolton could be well worth pursuing.

Are those guys a bit too "cream on the cake" type for us at the moment or is getting one on board going to help speed up that part of our development. Because goalkicking and scoring in general has seemed to stall a bit this year and it could do with an injection of talent.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

The tree is shaking a few loose.

North & the Saints stumping up 1 million for De Goey should he leave. Collingwood can't match it with Mayne & Wells on their list.

IF this gets done and Moore leaves I assume the Pies will take the three first rounders they get for the pair and make a monster offer to Tom Lynch, leaving Gold Coast with a truckload of picks and cap space.

Richmond clearly want Lynch and have 15 players out of contract. If they miss out they'd desperately want to trade up the draft order to nab a big man.

All this sounds like opportunity for us to nab a decent player or two or improve our draft hand.

I should know this but wouldn't Moore and De Goey just be out of contract players not restricted or unrestricted agents so Collingwood would be unlikely to get paid overs for them? The Pies should receive North's and Swans first round selections in trades?

If North don't have a first rounder they might have to work exceptionally hard to land their NGA player in Tarryn Thomas and if we nominated him with our pick 5 and as you say we might be able to improve our draft hand.

Sydney have apparently made it know they are very interested.

Thanks G. He's a good player but some of his Goalkicking attempts (he's the most inconsistent shot at goal. Sometimes he's brilliant and sometimes he misses inexplicably easy shots) would drive me mad if I was a Collingwoid supporter. I do remember how he and Trealor got Collingwood back into a preseason match against us at the Dome in 2015. We were 5 goals+ in front during the second quarter but it was apparent from before halftime that we weren't going to win.

They could free up a few spots on their list so they can use their 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounders to try and make up points.

The consensus for De Goay's worth is North's 2018 & 2019 first rounders, with a 2nd rounder going back to north (I don't think Collingwood have one this year). Then Collingwood have three first rounders to offer GCS for Lynch, noting none of those are particularly high first round picks.

I don't understand why we are speculating about Tom Lynch (BL) when he signed with Brisbane last week?

Of all the Tom Lynchs in the league none of them are at Brisbane.
