Round 12 - 2018 Footscray Bulldogs v North Melbourne
Re: Round 12 - 2018 Footscray Bulldogs v North Melbourne
Greene & NMM can have a game if they like. Anyone who can actually kick goals can play for the seniors.

I haven't been down to watch the VFL but liked what I've seen in the past. He always seem to fade in ans out of games when I have seen him. Sounds like a good solid 4 quarter performance from the lad.

NMM and Greene have bit of a partnership. Greene seems to know where NMM will be inside F50. Would be grand to give them both a go at seniors however doubt MC will do that, especially against Cats. A few posters thing NMM should be delisted. I think there are some senior players who I would prefer to be traded or delisted before players with decent skills. He is awfully light in build though.
Best game I have seen Lynch play.
Jong looked better today too, however he is still not at standard he was a year or two ago. He should be ripping games apart at VFL level.
Josie :)

And we'll have everything.
We'll share the joy

Some thoughts from what I saw from 10 min mark of 2nd quarter:
Jong - As Josie says above he should be ripping them apart at VFL level, yet he plays the same as when he is in the seniors. He seems to fade in and out of games, and I swear I didn't see him touch the ball in the last quarter although GVGjr said he has some centre clearances.
Biggs - Gifted two goals when I just got to the ground, but after that was very good in the backline and the Biggs of old.
Roughead- very serviceable game, did well in the ruck and played some time across the backline as well as resting forward. Missed an easy shot at goal, then minutes later dropped a sitter in front and then a few minutes later was awarded afree in front and nailed it.
Campbell - Another pretty good game but didn't really dominate. Did take a strong mark and kicked straight through the middle.
Greene - One of our best players, kicked two and had missed a few as well - close to a call up.
NMM - Kicked 4, some very strong marking, agile player for his size. As Josie said, love to see him tried at senior level.
Roberts - A real plodder, some nice spoils, but didn't do much else.
Collins - took a great pack mark, moved well and has trimmed up since I last saw him in 2017. Solid in defense.
Porter - didn't see him much of him .
Lynch - Was great, this kid has some skills and his kicking was fantastic.
Young - Very solid, took 8 marks and had a preety good game.
Overall, not sure who would be worthy of a call up, perhaps Jong and Greene as they would be better than HC and Smith.

I was there for the whole game and generally agree with previous posters re AFL listed player performances.
Clearly Lynch's best game - I think the conditions really suited him and Greene who put in his best performance this year from the games I have seen. He uncharacteristically turned the ball over a couple of times, but his intent was 'right' both times.
NMM continued in his role as a forward outlet (played mainly in defence in 2017) and justly deserved the 4 goals he got - he is a fairly accurate kick for those who haven't seen him, but his slight frame probably holds him back in the minds of the AFL MC.
Having said that, Greene is possibly even slighter but has a little more x factor about him.
Porter played some of the game on Davies-Uniacke (pick 4 in last year's draft) who is a much bigger bodied player and probably broke about even with him in contested ball situations. Still too early to make a call on him.
If I was looking to add to the senior side, I would probably only consider Greene as a possible swap for HC.
Altho Jong got his 20+ possies, it is interesting to note that on the Bulldogs website and in today's HS, he didn't rate in the best players - I wouldn't have had him there either.
Should mention Dad - seen a few good signs there yesterday. Hopefully he stay on the field for the rest of the year.
There is no sadder sight than a young pessimist.

Great reports once again. Would have been good if they put the players names on the big screen particularly the VFL listed players and put stats from the game and individual player disposal stats.
