Your pick 7 prediction?

I thought it might be interesting to get everyone's prediction on who we might select at oick 7 this tear.

Lets assume that Walsh, Lukosius, Rankine and M.King are all gone before our pick so who woukd you take?

Does knowing that Rhylee West will be our next player selected factor in to this pick?

If I take the experts word that the top 7 are locked in then I think we end up with Ben King.

Whatever you like, it will just be good to get an idea who people think we might select or who they really want

I'm all in on B Smith. If both he and Rozee are gone at pick 7, i'd prefer to pass on B King and try trade down to grab two of Clark/Hatley/Duursma/RCD/Caldwell. I don't know what it is but King just doesn't excite me.

I'm going to back our recruiters as they have gotten it right (mostly) in recent years. Especially at the top-end of the draft. If they think King can help us then i'll back them in. But i'd prefer some pace and skill.

I see the players i've listed as different players to West. Some say Smith has similar traits, but West doesn't have the burst of speed like Smith does. Of the others, Duursma and Clark are my preferences who are both quite different to West. Yes we do have plenty of HBFs so it will come down to what capacity the recruiting team think these boys have in playing time in the midfield. Or alternatively, what capacity Williams/Richards/JJ etc have in either playing midfield minutes or time forward.

I suppose all this discussion is leading to best available vs needs. Smith and King, from all reports, will be best available at our pick. If we take King, is it as a KPD or KPF?

I'm not sure how they do it. Eagles have picks 20 & 22 which may not be enough, Freo have 14 then a pick in the 30s.

The teams most desperate for points - Sydney & North - have already traded their high selections away for extra points.

Knowing that we are getting West and (more than likely) Khamis. I would be very happy to trade away pick seven and maybe 63 or 75, to pick up two late first rounders (say 13 and 16 from Adelaide or even 11 and 19 from GWS). I think we have a multitude of youth in our side and the sraft runs deep enough that we can pick up quality in those two picks. If we do take 7 to the draft, I hope we get one of the King twins (or the best KPP available). Adding West to our already talented centre structure (Libba, Macrae, Bont, Hunter, Wallis, dunkley etc), I don't think we need to chase Bailey Smith.

I'm punting on either Smith or Rozee. If we miss out on both of them, I'd lean towards Duursma.

I think we will do a pick swap. We will swap our pick 7 for a couple of picks in the teens.

So we swap pick 7 for 2 in the teens and someone bids before those picks on West. Imagine the meltdowns.
